They have played in a lot of movies together, but the important part is a comment by Greta Gerwig, the director of Little Women (in which both Timmy and Saoirse star) She said: “[Chalamet] was always the person to play this part for me because he has that - he’s handsome but he’s also beautiful. And Saoirse is beautiful, but she’s also handsome.'' They both have very androgynous qualities, and I think it would be nice to explore the idea of androgyny in a woman. :)

There were way more talented kids in our school,some you would never have the chance to see. Sad but true, the school I went to aka Chalamats school was either wealthy kids who lived right next to school in the good old high rise million dollar condos of Manhattan or kids like me who grew up in the outer poorer boroughs who would have to wake up at 5AM every morning just to get to school at 8Am. I think what makes him so special is he literally living his dream life and he is always in awe of it. I mean, check his interviews with other celebs, he is always like "God, I'm with THIS human right now" and his gratitude always shows. This also makes him so down to earth. Besides he never forgets where he came from, he is late to screenings all the time because he spends most of his time with fans on the red carpet.Literally WHO DOES THIS?? And also he is so freakingly talented. Even his earlier works like Miss Stevens and Men, Women, Children his acting was distinctive. And he has a great sense of humor. He really is funny. Not in a arrogant way, nor in a stupid way but in a unique way. I've been following his works for over 3 years and he always developed himself but his personality never changed. So yeah, he really is the actor of our generation.

It is so difficult to rate attractiveness based on certain scientific measurements. A lot of people who have asymmetry or who do not have perfect features are still super attractive. Just like when you use the Marquardt mask to apparently make celebrities faces more attractive, most of the time they are more attractive before you revise their face with Marquardt mask.

on your ending statement: that might also have to do with the fact that we are more used to seeing their "normal" faces as opposed to the Marquardt masks. Because we all know what this person looks like in real life, there is an attached sense of uncanny valley to the altered version that is difficult to disassociate from our memory. The Marquardt mask might in fact be more "attractive", but our bias makes it impossible to appreciate properly. Food for thought.

Saying "we love him for his personality" in this kind of video is irrelevant because it's specifically about breaking down *physical attractiveness* . And the video itself doesn't say that Timothee is not attractive. He just said that Timothee has a "weird" face, making him look memorable and "editorial", making *his face* actually attractive despite it being "weird". Yeah I would disagree with you here. Even though you think you found him "unattractive" at the beginning, you actually didn't. If you did, no matter what he does or how good his acting skills are, you would always be repulsed by him. You were always attracted to him ever since you saw his face for the first time, but you just couldn't rationalize it yet since his face is, as this video says, polarizing. Polarizing faces make memorable faces, and that makes him attractive because you're exposed to it more, making you more familiar with his face. Now that you've seen his acting, it only adds to his already attractive face. But because you couldn't see/rationalize his attractive face at first, your only rationale for thinking that he's attractive only came down to his acting or his public persona. Thanks to videos like this, at least now you can rationalize what attracted you in the first place instead of sugarcoating it to "I love him because of his personality" because that's not completely true. This is not to say that he's bad at acting or his personality is awful or that you're *only* attracted because of his looks. This is to say that Timothee is actually attractive physically, but people often don't realize that/can't rationalize that because his face is polarizing. I would say that some people are also afraid to be called as "having a weird taste" because of finding his face attractive. I personally have only watched The King and I think he's a good actor and that he's good-looking. I have never watched his interviews or behind-the-scene stuff tho so idk about his public persona (or what you call his "personality").

As someone who didn’t understand the hype surrounding him I’ve come to a slight understanding after I saw a video clip of him speaking French, that’s when it hit me that he has that French boy charm.. I think it is how his personality and his overall demeanor contrasts and complemente his strong, intimidating (mostly facial) look perfectly. You see him speak and interact with others and there is such a nice balance and duality to him. Timothée Chalamet is a great representation of balance on the spectrum of many physical/psyche aspects of a person. As for physical, he has masculine and feminine features. About his looks and personality and demeanor, he has a strong gaze, but soft warm eyes when he smiles, laughs and speaks. His demeanor is shy and awkward (many girls find those qualities attractive on attractive men) but he is not completely shy, he also seems confident and self-assured without coming off as cocky. Balance. Even balance in the roles he chooses to play, he can play soft characters and also strong ones. He’s the incredible actor, who also seems like your day to day guy and he’s relatable to many personality and demeanor-wise. And that’s why people are fawning over him. He could appeal to anyone. Don’t idolize people though. It’s not good. And please, don’t just appreciate him for his looks, but for his acting. Don’t let this be another wasted talent because he got categorized by looks and not by talent and great acting. That’s all.

My love for him wasn’t due to his face, I had always seen pictures of him and didn’t look twice, writing him off as the new heartthrob or whatever. It’s only when I started watching his interviews (and you should check the comments of these interviews as the girls tend to have the same feelings as mine), that I was totally enchanted. I think women, generally speaking, are more attracted to personality than looks and his personality (at least what we can see as the general public) is very charming. He’s kind, he’s sweet, he openly expresses his feelings and desires including being nervous (and we find that nervousness cute), he’s always super humble about his achievements, he’s having so much fun entering into the celebrity world and being amazed by it that it makes us feel amazed too, he’s super close to his family and his friends, he’s touchy-feely, he treats his fans like they’re his friends as well, he’s goofy but can switch to being very serious when discussing his work and how much it means to him (an amazing dynamic). I think he’s pretty, certainly, but I like who he is as a person a lot more than what he looks like.

Y'all don't get it, being attractive doesn't mean having a symmetrical model face it's the way he talks, thinks, treats people, his passion, his BIG FAT TALENT - his acting is incredible, I felt Elio's shattered heart and I was SO intimidated by him in The King. Also his awkwardness in interviews combined with his confidence when it comes to performing, the look on his face when he listens to people (You can literally see the many thoughts pacing through his head) HE CAN MAKE YOU FEEL EVERY. SINGLE. EMOTION. his chatacter feels. OH and this is a big one: he doesn't have an ego, he is the opposite of being arrogant, he is INVENTING masculinity, men take notes. For me, if you find someone attractive because of his personality, the person automatically is physically beautiful. He’s easy on the eyes but I think what really makes him so attractive is his personality and thoughtfulness when he speaks and interacts with others. Hollywood is full of more “traditional” alpha male types whereas Timothée is shy, sweet, and soft spoken; you can tell he’s very emotionally intelligent and self-aware, borderline self-deprecating.
