Also why generally you’re not supposed to shower everyday. You can, it’s fine to, but you end up washing away all those oils your skin built up through the day and some of the good bacteria that helps your skin. Obviously if you did something sweaty or whatever then def shower. But if you just went to work and came back…do you really need to take a 45 min shower and apply 13 different bottles filled w chemicals and then apply 8 different creams? That's what I'm saying. I'm working in an office with 90% Asian people and most of our clients are from Asian countries as well in my opinion many of them they do look their actual age. Most caucasian aren't used to see asian features that often so they can't tell the difference between a 20 and a 45 year old or even the difference between Chinese and Korean lol for white people like me it depends how often they got exposed to the sun. We generally got thinner skin layers so we need to take more care of our skin. The best solution by the age of 25 when the elastin and hyaluron of our faces start to reduce is staying in the mostly shadow, using sun screen and sleeping enough - long-term it will make wonders.

I've gone through chronic stress and a severe burnout but after I started recovering and taking better care of my health again, my skin now looks younger than it did in my mid to late 20s. So what I am saying is without the skincare and healthcare I put into myself but with the burnout and such I would probably look much older than I do now. But I think being Asian helps in recovering a youthful look much better. I'm an academic and my students always guess I'm between early 20s to mid 20s. Most often 23~ which is insane. I am chinese, but I was adopted by Spanish parents, so I ve had an occidental lifestyle since I was a baby. Most people told me that I seem 2 years younger (I am 20). So I think it's genetics. Because I dress, eat and behave as a Spanish citizen. I even go out to parties, drink alcohol, smoke sometimes... But obviously I take care of myself. I have always eaten healthy and I ve been really sportist. Also, I am not short for being chinese, I think I am over the average. Facial traits make a difference.
@lilfatrat8422 ай бұрын
@@adaalonso drinking and smoking every now and then is not going to drastically age your body. It’s when you do it everyday or livery frequently. Plus, half of your answer is right there: you eat pretty healthy and keep yourself fit. That alongside your genetics keeps you looking young. That's true, but the older generations didn't have sunscreen. It didn't exist when they were younger and even when it slowly became more available in the East (back in the 70s in the West, people were still using coconut oil etc. when outdoors in order to get a deeper tan - wasn't until the mid to late 80s that actual sunscreen that blocked UV rays came into wider use and the SPF was a lot lower and people didn't distinguish between UVB and UVA until years later) it wasn't adopted as quickly by older people and especially men. Back in the old days they (women) carried sun parasols and wore big hats (sun visors are very popular with older people in Korea) etc. In Vietnam women wear hats and wear long gloves to cover up their hands and arms, while the rest of their body is protected by regular clothing. Anyway my father used to do outdoor activities like wash the car, maintain the yard etc., without a hat or sunscreen. He would get very tanned over the summer, in contrast to the covered part of his skin which remained quite white. He had these tan lines, at the neck and upper arms. He would probably look a lot younger if he had worn long sleeved shirts and hats and sunscreen. But even so, he has always been extremely young looking for his age. He looked a lot younger than his age peer friends, who were of the same East Asian background. Even his hair - retained a full head of hair with a solid hairline that receded ever so slowly, whilst several of his age peers had started to bald and had receding hairlines. Furthermore, his hair started to gray much later than others and at a much slower pace. He just looked way younger for a long time. People would often mistake him for 2 decades younger. His siblings were much the same but not to the same extent as my father

Big eyes, you got them, these ladies do not.Also, hate to say it, but Asians, specifically, are not considered young looking compared to anyone,(only in the media, not in nature) And no one compares celebrities, people, that would be just so false.Yeah, I don`t see these kind of people around me, they look much younger. There is literally no changes in anyone`s face until after 40, then first signs starts to show, yea? And the only change usually is that you lose that baby fat,(that did it with Marilyn Monroe, she had very little surgery to her face at the time) which does not do anything with round bone structure, but if someone has high cheekbones and prominent, then, the bone structure is considered pretty and good looking. You look much younger than these ladies in the photos. But you also look normal, for your age,you look your age i mean, these photos`s are not good of an example with both ladies looking older than their age.Having very small eyes etc.

As a Chinese, I would say many factors that make Asian look young to other people, genetics ( African skin is most anti-aging, Asian is second, white is 3rd), skin protection and rigorous skin maintenance rituals, culture pressure, ( Chinese culture will be mean or laugh about your aging or fat, they are pretty mean about it, even in public). Healthy food for sure, also one factor no one talk about is Asian in general lacks of life experiences, social, parties, sex? Asian person actually is really young in their mental age. Like a mid thirty women, their psychological age maybe 23 compared to western women. We usually dated less, live simple life(boring to others maybe), encouraged to have less nightlife, less sex to reserve your energy, so when they look young, they actually are really young and immature. They are very smart and very capable in school and career field, but just lack of lots of life experiences and so lack of some wisdom in general. After living in US for 15 years, I once told my mother, I felt so old and tired living in US, I felt like I had lived three lives comparing to one Chinese life. Of course you will look older if you live more, done more. Also my observation is oversea Asian sometimes look older than domestic Asian(food, social, stress factor)...

Lol. Finally, someone's correct about Asian's natural oil in the skin. However, it's only 1/2 of it it's true. The other 1/2 has to do with genetics. For example, black people naturally have certain smell when they breathe around you. Male are a lot stronger than female though (not meant to be negative about black people. It's only compared to how similar or different about our human genetics). My mother used to tell us that you can always smell a "black man" when he breath around or close to us. Lol. She's right. Likewise, for Asian, they have certain oil of the natural skin. This is why they look aliitle younger than common people (i.e., Caucasian, African Americans, etc.). BUT, all Asian people can always tell their own real age to each - but not Westerners. Westerners would probably think Asian people are 10 or 15 years younger. Lol. For an example...the first pix (girl)), I'm certain, Westerners would probably think she's 18 or 19 years old. To a regular Asian person, he/she might think this girl's around 28 to 34. Lol.

That's really the main reason. Because there are elderly Asian people who spent a lot of time in the sun working outside and they have a lot of wrinkles.

Im surprised he didn’t mention how camera lenses distort facial features especially on phones. Making features appear bigger or smaller at times. That’s really the biggest reason a lot of people look different on camera than they do in person. There’s been so many times where I have seen someone in person and they look way different in pictures.
@lizb41562 ай бұрын
True. I look much better in person and so does my boyfriend. Cameras distort your body too, depending on how you point them.

Everyone ages. Just that only some age gracefully. Instead of worrying about aging, be happy and always try to bring happiness into the life of those around you. Be humble and be patient. Happiness and inner peace work better than any botox or any other drug, I assure you. Love, and be loved. Life may be fleet of foot, but an act of kindness or one that brings joy, will live on for eternity. People who only crib and curse and are always unhappy, will always look older, no matter what they do.

To look younger always keep your skin hydrated and moisturised, a good dose of sunscreen and a balanced weight

DNA is the number 1 factor & habits will help. My dad is 65 & he looks like 45 for eastern Asian people. Never took care of his diet and skin, never went to the gym, 1-2 packs of cigarettes per day & regularly drinking alcohol. 😂
