Thank you. I appreciate the geometric break down of the different methods of calculating the QR. Are you sure that A has to be square? I'm asking because I think you can do the QR decomp on a regression model matrix, which will likely have more rows than columns.

I believe you are correct. I remember just choosing to cover the square cases for simplicity since I wanted the focus to be on the methods of computation.
