Yeah, it really was a good flying little wing. I think the deeper wing chord may be helping there a little. I think it would be fun to compare it without the flight controller and see how it feels.

How do you insert the canopy with the carbon tabs in place?

I put the front in first and then one side then the other side and it all snaps into place. The lid has a little bit of give to let it squeeze in. The tabs are just glued on so I try to be a little careful not to pop them off.

Nice video mate, I'm building up a Flik wing too with a Speedybee F405 mini. Have you had any issues with the Speedybee dropping out of voltage range when running the 2S battery? The min voltage requirement is 7V, so if you run the Lith ion batteries down to 3V a cell I'm guessing it wont run the flight controller? Interested to know what your thoughts are. I'd like to run 2S to keep the weight down but this a concern of mine. Thanks.

I've been flying mine with 2S 18650s, speedybee f405 wing mini, and it doesn't have issue going down to 3V/cell. I also stress tested it on the bench with fans on the electronics and frequent temperature checks on motor etc to see if there would be a problem going lower. Had no issues clear down to 2.6V/cell, only started to see signs of impending video brownout (walksnail hd pro) when I got it to 2.5V/cell. Hope this helps give you some confidence!

I've been flying Nano Goblins since they came out. Curious if you have flown those and how it compares.

I personally have not flown a NG, however, with the wing sweep and the deeper wing chord, I would expect the Flik to be a little more stable and be a little more forgiving in the CG range. Daniel was testing the stall and it was very docile.

Hey guys, I was happy to see a video on the released Flik. Thanks. I thought RCTestFlight would do one (he co-developed it), but I have not seen anything. (Note: The first flight music you played was kind-of annoying, then I heard the lyrics, and they're hilarious. LOL Where did you get that? It's like you asked AI to make a flight song based on the specs of the plane. Now I'm kind-of a fan of the song. )

Hey Glen, yeah I was kind of surprised that Daniel from RCTestFlight has not done a video yet. Probably soon. Yeah, I am using AI to generate music and that helps to avoid copyright conflicts. I am glad you enjoyed it.

Nano goblin is a great design so it makes sense this would also be good as it's basically 90%ng 🤣

Not sure I would put it 90% the same but has some elements. The Flik has a larger wing chord and sweep that lend to better stabilization. The larger wing chord also makes it a little more forgiving on the CG range as well.

Because wings are just a different experience. Still wildly fun. And the average wing can fly much longer than a quad can on a single battery. Wings I have can be launched and cruise for 30-40 minutes. Compared with any of my quads, which can hit maybe 6-8 minutes with a lipo. Sure, you could build a quad for long flight time and run li-ion.. I'm a believer of flying both.
