Diving the Four Kings | Wonderful Diving in Raja Ampat, West-Papua, Indonesia 2019/2020 (4K Video)

Huge manta rays, anchovy bait balls, clouds of schooling fish, colorful nudibranchs and flatworms, pigmy seahorses and countless reef fishes were omnipresent on our dives in Raja Ampat and Misool. A very special moment was the close encounter with a heavily pregnant reef manta ray with an impressive bulged belly and back. On one particular dive we were surrounded by anchovy bait balls which were constantly threatened by passing jack fishes. Many times we had clouds of schooling fish passing above us and darkening the ocean.
In the corals we found many different species of nudibranchs, a huge variety of marine flatworms and lots of pygmy sea horses and other critters.
Welcome to our diving safari to Raja Ampat over Christmas and New Year 2019/2020. We stayed 11 nights on the Amira Liveaboard and 6 nights in the Misool Eco Resort.

Es ist krass und schon fast peinlich, wie gut diese kleinen Kameras funktionieren (fast die ganze Manta-Sequenz sind GoPro-Aufnahmen, Makro natürlich immer die Olympus). Hallo, vielen Dank für Deinen tollen Kommentar, das freut mich sehr, dass es Dir gefällt. Ich würde einem Tauchneuling von so einer Reise dringend abraten. Das Tauchen ist anspruchsvoll und die Reise extrem teuer. Je mehr Erfahrung man beim Tauchen mitbringt, umso mehr lohnt es sich und man kann es auch viel mehr geniessen. Was für Auflagen die jeweiligen Anbieter haben weiss ich leider nicht, das müsstest du im Detail anfragen. Für Schiffe werden in der Regel ca. 50 Tauchgänge verlangt. Viele Grüsse, Markus

We have been there three times now, once with the Pindito and Tambora Liveaboard and this last time with the Amira and Misool Eco Resort combined. We enjoyed liveaboard much more than the resort, because you also get to see the north a bit. But there is time to plan ahead.
