i sincerely wish the event video (1:14:55) started a few minutes later because it definitely threw phil a little off. wish his character got to interact with other people more before he was out of intense lore mode, but it's good that it didn't start when he just "woke up" lol that wouldve been such horrific timing (though, i'm sure they were aware)

In a way, it could be interpreted as "Instead of focusing on the lore in a major way from the start, it has to be a biiit more drip-fed to both us and the creators." Plus, I think the admins would've taken phil's lore into account when doing the announcement. Could be explained as a 'cover-up' for what phil's absense has been. I mean, you don't want what he experienced to just be said out to everyone... would you? No to take away the abruptness of it (a bit more time would be nice), but I do like the direction it's going, regardless.

@@eclipse9727 honestly agree with all your points! just wish it was a little less abrupt haha. i really do hope that his story is interspersed intentionally as that's my biggest hope for any serious lore, but i'm the slightest bit nervous that they might lose track with so many storylines going on. don't totally believe this will happen because of each streamer's personal investment into their story but phil usually helps himself to the supporting cast and i don't want him to pull back. :)

Everybody ganging up to kill Etoile while he just stands there unconcerned reminds me of when the same exact thing happened to Techno when they tried to drown him on the dsmp and he was just underwater for like 5 minutes straight and then he left to get a glass of water while he drowned haha, good times. Phil really has a knack for befriending immortals with violent instincts, eh? Seriously though, I love Etoiles, and I'm glad we got to find out about him and so many other amazing content creators through this server. QSMP really is something else.
