Applesauce in muffins or cakes takes the place of sugar and it keeps it moist and it smells delicious. I know someone who makes cakes with applesauce instead of sugar.

Hi Trinity, I don"t know if you have tried sausage dip before but if you try cream cheese, ground cooked sausage, diced jalapeno, and rotel and cook it in a pan it is heavenly with tortilla chips !!!!!!! I saw the queso and it reminded me of it.
