"I talk to God daily . . . ask him to take these feelings away . . ." Yea, I know a thing or two about that, having done it for 15 years myself. Until I realized the reason God didn't "fix" me is because I was never broken in the first place.

Why because I’m not a dick and I don’t have the need to feel superior to others. Why would you do that? Is it because you are a looser with nothing to make you feel special so you desire to drags down others or is it because you’ve got some not like other girls vibe going on. Some guys turn to straight marriage and/or faith to overcome their gayness. They know it's wrong but try to scramble their morality and emotions into a trap strong enough to keep them from acting on their gay orientation. Sometimes they end up using secretive sex as a safety valve, but feel horrible about themselves. Male sexual biology tricks us into believing sexual gratification is imperative, and makes it tough to stay emotionally and morally true to ourselves. But I've learned getting away with shit actually takes chunks out of a man's self esteem and soul. Coming out as a teenager and facing the fallout (as horrible as that can sometimes be,) turns out to be way more Christian than a lifetime of deceit and betrayal.

The fact is being gay in many places are sad. And so making a gay movie with a sad ending does not necessarily means "hey you'll die if you're gay", it's a way of facing reality, in hope that we might take actions in real life to change the situation. Of course, with sad ending there's a fine line between critique of the homophobic society and critique of homosexuality. The nuance is up to the writer and director. Also, making a movie about gay with a happy ending does not automatically construct a better world or even a positive image of homosexuality. Those who are homophobic will still be homophobic.

Generally agree, but more specific and concrete said from my side in some of yoru last sentences, is because they are ultra-nationalistic and in fact amd lifestyle-restricted miserable themselves to know better to accept the new and reformative things or something beyond the norm afterwards OR just being themselves full out of utterly conservative, freedom-killing, ultra-nationalistic, regressive and low-IQ social surroundings, yeah, and they need to be kept in check or recreate as better persons, if that's what it takes, some can be altered however for more progressive and rational invididual, particularly if they or she/he intended to come to the Western countries, more control, tests and other things that can make more of an open, lesser ultra-nationalistic/lesser conservative and tolerant citizen, without shoe that their culture is being endangered, which many ultra-nationalistic, regressively/illiberal /undemocratic, unconsciously hardcore state-controlled thinking and superficially mental refugees asylum people(not all of them of course , but the majority of them, indeed, that's a fact and keen-observing reality) , who go to Western countries, only for economic reasons, but nah the contribution should be based on morale and political (a diplomatic/genuinely democratic way of course, not a forceful propaganda ultra-nationalism, inhumanism and illiberalism based way, which Putin-russia, Saudi-Arabia, other goldstates, Iran, Venezuel and Xi - China, etc. is good at to their own people and foreigners to want to live for some weird reasons - economically(Putin-russia/Venezuela /Iran, etc. is debatable in that economic field btw, too) , I suppose, but unfortunately just without political, lifestyle and moral freedom rights to follow - ) reasons, too, when accessing the west. It must be so boring and depressing to be married to a wife like that. She seems so plain, one dimensional and sad. I feel bad for the pastor.

why are gaymovies always so sad?
@youwish2haha6 ай бұрын
It makes me so mad. Makes me think that we believe that, bc of sooo many years of internal and external suffering, that we don’t deserve to be happy, and any happiness we find is doomed to end in tragedy bc we aren’t worthy of lasting happiness.

Moral of the movie; Really bad script but with good actors to tell a story as a couple. They should make movies with good script just the way they good acting.
