Thanks for this review. This is much more in-depth than other videos I've seen about this module.

Great demo. Considering this vs the vpme euclidean rhythms.....both got lotta tricks up their sleeves
@andypidcock6 жыл бұрын
Yep I was looking at that too, it's got more lights !! Qu bit has four independent euclidean outputs - vpme has three. I have found the fourth output really useful for sending euclidean pulses as a clock to my sequencer, guess it's down to which interface you prefer I'm sure both will be good. Best

Andy Pidcock actually Euclidean Rhythms has got 6 trigger outs! And a 2hp expander that has mute switches per channel......The plot thickens! I may have to try both out......

Ohhh my bad ! Will be interested to see how you get on.

Thanks for the tour. Nice way to make some music. 👍🤖🖐

Thanks for this review. Almost perfect, would’ve loved to see CV inputs for more dynamic change on the trigger outputs. Question; if I were to use an external clock, would I be able to use the ‘rate’ knob as a divider/multiplier?

No

Fyi the binary mode works by converting a decimal number in to a 16 digit binary number. those 16 digits correlate to the 16 steps in the sequence. eg decimal number 34952 is 1000100010001000 in binary - you can see this would give you a 4*4 beat. the highest possible value is 65535 as this gives you 1111111111111111 - all steps triggering.

Cheers for the top explanation.

Would be sweet if individual steps could be tweaked Elektron-style

I think the Gravity effect works better at lower clock divisions and when the channel isn't looping?
@andypidcock6 жыл бұрын
Hi Ted, Yep, I would agree !

nice demo, is there a clock in?
@hansfalsch2 жыл бұрын
Yes. And the clock that goes on is seen on the right of Andy’s rack 😜

By far the best demo of this module available, thanks! Can you recall which drum modules you used?
@andypidcock3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, drums would have been erica synths pico drum.

Thank you for the tutorial, one question. for the cv section. for example, I have a clap at channel 1 running 2 of 16 steps. Can I use cv to increase the steps, become like 15 of 16 steps, without change other channel, only channel 1
@andypidcock3 жыл бұрын
Hi, As far as I can remember you can't control that function by cv. You can do this manually using the centre dial and yes it will do what you are asking. You can set totally different steps and timings on each of the 4 channels independently. Hope this helps !

Does it only do clock out or can it do clock in as well?
@andypidcock6 жыл бұрын
Hi, yes you can change the master clock output to be a clock in if that is what you need.

Hey! very nice demo. I got it today but i cant find the clock in setting. How do you switch the clock out for input? I tried to ise the rate/clk cv input but its seem to not work to clock the Pulsare from an external clock. thanks!
@andypidcock6 жыл бұрын
His is what the manual says: Setting Clock Rate: Clock rate can be set from the Global Page or any Channel’s Page. • Pressing Channel while clicking the Rate/Clk Encoder will toggle the module between Internal Clock Mode and External Clock Mode. • When internally clocked, pressing Channel while turning the Encoder will change the rate of the internal clock. • When externally clocked, pressing Channel while turning the Encoder will change the multiplication/division value for the external clock.
@timmbrockmann9595 жыл бұрын
@@DoFunkk Hi, did you manage to clock it externally? Thanks!
@andypidcock5 жыл бұрын
Hi Timm, Yep that's how I run the Pulsar now, Press the Channel button, click the rate/click dial 'in' put a cable (running a clock) into the rate/clk socket done !

Are you feeding a sequencer or a quantizer that is in turn feeding Elements or does Elements have a hidden sequencer?
@andypidcock4 жыл бұрын
Hi Scott, Yep one of the clocks from the pulsar module was triggering a qu bit octone sequencer (off camera) hope that helps
@ScottLHines4 жыл бұрын
Andy Pidcock I thought it sounded like the Octone. Thanks

Which module generates the snare sound?
@andypidcock6 жыл бұрын
Hi. Snare sound would be from the Erica synths Pico drum module
