I keep the tower standing up in the center clearing, whoever rules it just puts their warrior standing on top of it. It makes it really easy to remember when there's a smug cat standing tall above the rest of the board

@@Quackalope I came here just to be sure to point that out. The Marquise is a woman. In French, you often don't pronounce the last letter, so the added 'e' to Marquise (which makes it feminine) means you pronounce the s.

This was such a good game! The crows were super interesting, and I was rooting for the dominance play. It was sooooo close! I wish it'd happened. It was a legitimate play, and it was cool that he went for it, cause he had a real shot at it. Great game. Rematch is a must.

1:10:00 oh man that corvid turn. I really wanted him the do a mouse recruitment, move crows to the upper mouse clearing, battle in all the mouse clearings (foregoing the card draw) rolling really well, destroying 5 buildings / tokens, and win the game with a king of the hill point. Alas, it wasn't in cards.

We had just played Fort a few times XD . . . Fort starts with 5 cards. That is the only reason I can think of haha

@Quackalope another question! im not that familiar to this last expansion ( sadly didnt arrived just yet to Spain ) but the corvid plot "Remove a Corvid warrior, plus another Corvid warrior per plot you have placed this turn, from a clearing with no plot tokens to place a facedown plot token ther" and at 47:43 should removed one warrior and also he coundt be able to do that second plot at 48:12 because he needed 2 warriors? Pls correct me if im wrong

Obligatory rules correction: Each player should start with 3 cards. Not 5. (5.1.3)

@@Reggie1408 sort of, except some factions benefit more from a full hand of cards than others. In this game, both bird and crows get a better choice of cards to use for decree and recruitment.

Fantastic game! Minimal rules errors (nothing major, best one so far). Would love to see a 4 player one again w/ a Vagabond. Vagabonds can add such interesting stories to the games.

1:16:27 I don't think you have to roll to fight an undefended building or token. Could be wrong but I think you have a +1 to hit those and only warriors can hit back.

It might still be worth to roll if for example there were more targets than attackers. ie. 1 attacker vs 2 undefended buildings

For I think his second time playing the Erie, he did pretty good. My second or third time, I got such a bad first hand I went into turmoil 3 times in a row. Didn't even need to do anything.

Love the video! At 1:09, are Corvid allowed to move into the mouse clearing since they don't have control over either space? That changes the result of the roll if not allowed.

Want to know how I cheated last night? I played the lizards and was scoring multiple cards every round, I won in three rounds.... I had four gardens in the bunnies and had 4 bunny cards. I score all 4 bunny cards AND kept them in my hand. Then, after I won, my wife and friend are like what just happened?! Then, they looked at the rules and we all saw I was cheating. However, I have awful vision and I didn't read everything so I didn't cheat intentionally. It was funny though.

Towards the end of the game everyone keeps cheating the covids. First they take 2 of his guys when there was only 1 cat warrior defending the two recruiters, and then no one scores his King of The Hill.
