You don't have to use a line on the grid for that. If you swipe down from the top on the QC, you have a USB level knob that will do the same.... or am I missing something?

I’ll have to try that out! I’m not sure if the inputs available on the swipe down menu are automatically assigned to outputs.

Hey Beau! Thanks for sharing all that info! Did you run into any issues switching scenes on the QC via MIDI when it comes to delay in the switch happening? We tried out a bunch of things - even connecting the QC to our Macbook straight via USB - but keep having a delay (around 1/32 - 1/16 note) of the switch actually happening on the QC after the signal is sent (from Ableton).

Wow. Sounds like you are getting a little bit of latency when switching from scene to scene? And just to confirm, you are using scenes for each section of a song and not different presets, because it does take about that long for my QC to load a new preset.

@@Beau.Burchell Yup - using scenes not presets. This is happening across 3 different QC units and even happens with scenes that only have one block loaded - made one with just a mute block on A and nothing on B to see if our scenes were using too much DSP.

@@sunandflesh I'm starting to think this is an issue with the ableton session. are you running plugins? how many audio tracks are you running?

@@Beau.Burchell We are running quite a bunch of tracks in the session (around 10-12 per song). We did load a session with just the click and the MIDI track and had the same result in terms of latency. All of this is on a brand new M1 Macbook that is only being used for tracks (brand new instal with only Ableton and drivers on it). Thank you for taking the time to troubleshoot this!! 🙏

@@sunandflesh try going into preferences, then under link tempo midi, you can find your midi device, use the triangle for the drop down menu, you should be able to adjust your sync delay.. let me know if that helps.
