I am a little conflicted here, because although Kamila has the best jumps, she has the advantage of being 14 years old. Anna and Sasha, on the other hand are in a much tougher place, as they are 16. Kamila is not age eligible for adult international competitions and I think even 15 is too young, as some girls, particularly in Russia still have the bodies of a 12 year old. That said, I certainly liked Kamila's 3A and the height of her jumps is impressive. Anna has been consistently overscored and never penalized for consistent under rotation. I am not sure why Sasha can't bring consistency in her 4Lz... she has multiple successful 4Lz in competitions and the right technique... I just hope she will stabilize that. Interestingly, it looks like Maya was underscored for her 4T... they graded this as 2T... given the fact that she was in team Medvedeva, this looks purposeful. Shame of Rusfed for supporting some of its skaters and betraying others. Thank you for your beautiful compilation and analysis. 🙏❤

Sasha is still injured. 4Lz has been one of her most consistent jumps this season, but right at the Rostelecom Cup she injured herself during an unsuccessful 3A attempt. She fell on almost all of her quads that time and, after that, was only able to perform a 4Lz since it seems to be less aggressive to her injured leg. She did well, despite the injury, but let's hope that he fully recovers and gains consistency on her 4Lz and 4T

@@sashaseckers axel entries are easier, but that's exactly how you know it's not a proper technique. They literally have same height and air time as properly executed and beautiful delayed toe pick jumps - cramming the rotations in there to make it look like a quad is not a sustainable technique. I applaud their athleticism for sure, and I must admit a lot of their 3As are GORGEOUS but Eteri better teach them the right techniques or else their jumps are going to fall apart once they start growing up.

I would recommend these ladies a travel to St. Petersburg and ask Mr Mishin to teach them a proper toe jump technique. Only Sasha is close to that technique and tries to take off with a toe. The rest of the ladies use a blade.

@@selina6377 Still it's not my point. The girls jump lutz, toe-loop and flip which are all TOE jumps. But none of them actually takes off with a toe pick assistance. They use a full blade. Look how Liza takes off for lutz and compare it to any of the young ladies. You don't even need a slo-mo. No, actually you don't need Liza, you can compare their triple jumps to their quads, as they use this unproper technique mostly jumping quads. Why? Because it's much easier to take off having a blade than only a toe pick assistance so they use full blade while jumping quads.

Anna is the Russian judges' spoiled baby, not surprised at the high GOE on a Flutz, plus touching the ice coz she couldn't stick the landing. I just pity the Russian skaters coz they have one coach who doesn't even teach them proper technique (edges and prerotation). If you're looking for quality jumping, best find it on the men's single skating.

I've been a casual fan of figure skating for years and while I do recognize the 6 different kinds of jumps (as well as the Euler), I'm by no means an expert. Some of the terminology used for errors confuses me. I know what a "Flutz" is (intended to be a Lutz but taking off on straight or inside edge like a Flip). But can someone explain what a "Floop" is? I'm guessing it's supposed to mean a Flip that looks more like a loop? I see people referring to Anna's 4F as a "Floop", but why exactly?

because the uses the full blade to assist her jump into the air instead of just the toepick, and since the loop is an edge jump and the flip is supposed to be a pick jump, floop is a good description for this type of takeoff

Can you do jump analysis on Adelia Petrosyan? I want to know if she's got good technique or it's just the same old eteri prerotation. Her 4Lo is quite mesmerising. Could you compare it to other skater's 3Lo or something like that? I need to know. That's looks like my favourite jump, it's so beautiful as compared to those toepick jumps which eteri technique has butchered.

Adelia 4Lo is 4 rotations if you wanted to know, she has a forward take off as all edge jumps have (except for axel) for her jump. Petrosians loop jump is purely speed with decent distance while it lacks height. Currently she has been able to do the 4Lo but very inconsistent as she has gotten taller and has began going through physcial changes, since it lacked height now her rotational speed has slown down causing her to fall on her 4Lo but as she gets more into shape she will slowly recover it as her 3A shows how insanely fast she can still rotate. Overall her quad loop is good just need height to make up for when she's older and losses speed

The “>” is for underrotation. Pre rotation is not really penalized in skating its just considered lower quality of even cheated. But If we’re going to give skaters a lot of points for doing quads then they should take pre rotation into account. If you do a “quad” thats 3/4 pre rotated, that means you actually did 3.25 rotation. In my opinion you don’t deserve the high base value for quads, you just did a slightly over rotated triple.

I think Anna's 4Lz only got the highest GOE because a Lz is higher value then a T. Kamila's 4T actually scored higher percentage wise, and GOE is a percentage. 30% of a Lz is higher then 40% of a T (not exactly, but as example) so a +3 on a Lz is more GOE then a +4 on a T.

Kami's technique is almost catastrophic. Her air position is frightening. Her edge chance in the combos is bad and unhealthy too. Her 4T is a 3A with a half more rotation. But she is just bred for one Olympic cycle. She max does 4T and 4S. Anna always use full bald assist she never heard about toe pick. It's not fair to compare this to Trusova with 4Lz and 4F. If people do that they have no idea about Figure Skating. Trusova is the only Quad Queen. Still there is no comparison to her. Adeliia is doing 4F with 1 rotation on the Ice. So it's all a joke.

Anya's 4Lz got the highest GOE point but it is because 4Lz has the highest base value. Kamila's second 4T got the highest percent of GOE and it was just so beautiful. However, I love Anya's jump too. She doesn't have the best hight or power but she lands her quads very smooth, so for me it's such a comfortable to watch. I don't understand much about edge problems and under rotation so I'm not thinking about it.

Sweetie, GOE have NOTHING to do with base value...please read and learn about it first. GOEs are given in lieu of transitions before and after the jump, entries, speed, musicality, synchronization with music....and in case of certain skaters, GOEs are given because of their names, who their coaches are, or how much they paid; so that’s why you see an almost +5 GOE for the most awful Flootz (a mix between a flip, a lutz and a loop) that this season has shown.

That is the problem, you don't understand the rules. But rules are a point of sports. It is true that Anya's jumps looks beautiful, are fast rotated, effortless etc. But the main point of FS is the right technique, the rotation is probably the most important thing, and judges have to call it, because it's so unfair to other skaters. If they called her UR and her wrong edge her goe would be so much lower and it doesn't matter if the lutz has the highest base value.

С этим видео, честно, стало как-то неприятно. В этом случае потому, что та же Трусова, не делая чисто четверные в последнее время, все равно обладает лучшей и правильной техникой, чем Щербакова, которая, как показали, не докручивает, и делает неправильные углы при отталкивании, как я понял. По сути говоря, при чистых приземлениях Саша должна получать на порядок выше. Камила второй тулуп на ЧМ вообще идеально сделала, и именно он обязан был быть с наивысшим GOE. Честно, не понимаю, почему закрывают глаза на то, что творится с прыжками Ани. Ничего не имею против нее, но симпатии к определенным личностям тоже не питаю. И это здравое рассуждение, лишенное субъективности. Понятное дело, что это все в родной стране происходит, от этого не менее интересно посмотреть, как на это посмотрят международные жюри...

Вопрос - зачем девушкам вообще квады? Они их в возрасте между 13-15, максимум 16-ю годами прыгают. В 17-18 лет они, естественно, прибавляют в весе (не всю же жизнь весить 35 кг, чтобы исполнять квады) и перестают прыгать квады и так сказать, прерывают, а на самом деле заканчивают карьеру. У женского катания есть масса других элементов, чтобы сделать его действительно женским, эмоциональным, эстетическим, действительно, произведением искусства, а не беготней между бортиками с фейковыми квадами.

@@user-mp3me3tz1t в 3А особо не схитрить любая ошибка может стоить удачного прыжка. 3А очень коварный прыжок. Думаю, Камила ещё года полтора сможет его прыгать, дальше тоже если сильно не наберёт. Саша сможет и сейчас начать, вопрос её нервов для стабильности и вылеченной травмы и также набора веса. Аня... Как бы я не любила её, но мне кажется 3А для неё недостижим, она на квадах прыгает стабильно 3,25 оборотов в воздухе в лучших попытках, в худших около 3 оборотов. Для стабильного 3А очень важен момент отрыва и обороты в воздухе должны быть близки к 3,5. Ане тогда придётся сильно поднимать высоту в прыжках, а это дело не быстрое, к тому же стоит ли игра свечь перед ОИ и тем более когда и так она получает на своих "квадах" много.

Cause its bad? She's not the only one. Sasha's flip has an outside edge. Kamila has a weird pull between her combo jumps. Liza's flip is also very awkward. They've all got flaws, its just that Anna's are most often ignored by judges while everyone else gets punished.

Latika It is not against Anna as a person. She seems to be nice, hard working girl. Still, she is unfairly favorized and no one can like that. Her technique is bad and, honestly, not good at all for her body. When she was a little girl it could not be her fault, but now with her intelligence and pretty good English she should know that she kinda cheat her jumps and she should do something about that. Go to the coach who can correct her

@ S 80 Yes, of course, but then the judging should be correct and flawed jumps with incorrect technique shoul receive call offs and lower GOEs. It actually happened once, at Grand Prix in China 2019. Anna’s jumps were judged as they always should be. She won still, but her score was more normal and could get her in serious troubles against skaters like Sasha or Rika.

As much as I don't like Kamila's skating she actually has a good quad toeloop. Toeloop is allowed to have up to 180 degrees of prerotation. Also there are so many skaters that have 180 degrees of prerotation on their triple lutzes and flips are those not triples either?

Камилла прыгала лучше всех, хватит анализировать. Тулуп у неё на огромнейшей высоте. У Анны все гармонично. Ну Саша как всегда куча квадов почти все мимо и некрасивые движения,нет музыкальности,руки как палки болтаются. Ей срочно надо уходить от плюща иначе все растеряет.
