I don't care about the price because the risk of standing on a fast-moving board is enough for me. I need something I can straddle for better control and safety.

I thought the same until I appreciated the ability to just step off. I ride my two wheel scooter more than the bike. But, cargo way better on a bike.

Better to stand on it like a skate board and slightly bend your knees. Standing fully forward with your body and feet side by side will be less stable and hard on your knees!
