Seems like the song's about Quadeca himself. I'm guessing it might've been a leftover track from "IDMTHY." The vibe I'm getting feels like he's battling suicidal thoughts, then morphing into a ghostly presence, sort of like in "fantasyworld." Lines like "I'm gonna be something else" hint at a desire for change, for something beyond the current reality. And that buildup at the end, with those flute-like sounds, feels like floating into the afterlife. That's just my take on it, though.

Yeah, it feels like this is either like right before fantasyworld in chronological order or in track order, almost as if he’s either deciding to give up or realizing he’s never gonna be human again

Yea when I first listened to it I got the impression that it was an idmthy leftover or idea but I also kinda get the impression that (bare with me here idk how much of a reach this is) quadeca may be talking about a relationship in which the person cheated or broke his trust. I only think this because of lines like “you made an exception for someone” and the u tried that thing where ur human part could be talking about when people defend themselves for cheating it’s like a “I’m only human” kind of thing. Idk it’s just a theory honestly I just don’t know which way to interpret the song lol

It might be self projection but i interpreted the lyrics "I'm gonna be something else" as him dying and reincarnating into something else literally, supported by the music video showing different animals during this segment, he's going to be something else once he's dead and reincarnated. IDMTHY being about himself as a ghost and suicidal themes being so prevalent makes me think this

Do not tell anyone to get into Hivemind. Once you get in, you can’t stop until you caught up to the lore. It’s like telling people to get into One Piece, too much to catch up on at this point

7:30 It's interesting how you interpreted the title of the song as him addressing someone else as "you" instead of himself. That's how I talk to myself a lot (especially when I'm feeling so bad I'm virtually dissociating, the vibe that this song gives off), so I didnt even have to think about it. To me, the subject of the song is usually safe, at a distance, but kind of alienated, and got hurt because he let his guard down (look where it got you). He gets better (I'm gonna be something else), like we all do. Prolly the most basic interpretation of this song imaginable, but ya know 😅

I absolutely love your reactions and especially the amount of work you put into the editing, you put so much effort into getting yours and the artists' thoughts across. I love Quadeca but I have another artist recommendation for you - EDEN. My pfp also happens to be the younger version of him but he's been my favorite for years now and I think I speak for the entire community when I say we need EDEN reactions as there haven't been as many people reacting to his music lol. I would recommend vertigo if you're checking out an album. Here are some songs you could check out otherwise - rock+roll, isohel, drugs, sex, wake up, rushing, icarus, call me back. (Most of these have music videos aswell). I'm sorry for the long comment but I desperately need you to react to EDEN lmao

Honestly when I heard this song it felt very obviously like a leftover from IDMTHY but seeing this music video makes me think its more about a relationship between two people, seeing someone live their life and asking how they do it.
