Great video. BEFORE checking all your sensors and switches... UNPLUG IT first then inspect each of the blade terminals visually, then plug and unplug them all. In my case a fan spade was damaged at the wire, and held on to the spade only because of a small piece of wire insulation. When I unplugged I felt it snap. Possibly the crimp was not robust, or possibly I had banged it repeatedly after years of vacuuming the exhaust pipe (though it was not directly in the way). Either way, this video helped because I methodically went through the bits to find the issue. A new spade connector is about the easiest repair you could hope for.

Great video, helped with some other issues I have had with our Quadra Fire 1200 classic bay. But we are having a problem that is not listed here. Usually, when we start our pellet stove, the pellets add about a hand full of pellets to the hopper, it stops the pellets then lights and the pellets start up again when operating normally. Now, the pellets just keep going. It gets so many pellets in the hopper that when it lights it pops like a small explosion and smoke leaks out all around the window. It continues to burn and eventually the pellets burn away but I would like to get this fixed. I don't like breathing the smoke.

I'm having the same problem and it's been going on since last year. What's worse, is that those little puffs of smoke add up over time, stain your walls and eventually settle on every surface of your house creating a health hazard. I'm having someone check it out (again) in a couple weeks and will follow up if they come find a solution.

For the snap disk at 1:50, what am I checking for? My spade connectors look good

No info about the little holes on the bottom of the fire pot. If they are clogged the fire won't hold

Keep in mind that I've only used it for a couple weeks, that being said, so far so good kzbin.infoUgkxAU9pOCSV9Y5JprooHvfxTpOrt4hx8uRM . Using it at 8 ft. by 8ft. deer blind that is insulated. I have to keep the door cracked for it to get enough air to burn, but that is very likely the wood I've used. Much better quality than I expected for the price. Now if I can just take it easy in the beginning it won't be 90 degrees in my blind. All in all it seems like a keeper.

Our pellets no longer drop from the hopper. Should we replace the auger motor or is there something else we can do? We took the back of the insert off and cleaned everything. We even removed the auger.

I am actually having the same issue, but my auger is also buzzing. Like a seized motor. I will be installing a new auger in a few days when it comes in the mail.

We just got our new stove 2 weeks ago is a QF 1200 and the thermocouple does not work....already talk to the Store and he said The stove worked fire when we picked it up ...........Any advice!

Try reset button. Push the button 4 times every 2mins.

Hi I have a cb 1200. I have a issue with firepot filling up and not burning pellets fully. Basically unit calls pellets continuously. Any thoughts? Fyi I clean weekly and do regular maintenance

Ok I had tech for a servicece call and he wedged fire proof insulation under the ash tray to lock it inplace but this does not work fully

Put in a new ignitor, nothing. On the meter it is getting about 1 volt of power,not nearly enough. Is the brain box shot? Everything else works, just have to light the pellets manualy.

What does it mean when the light does not flash green but flashes 3 red flashes at a time over and over???

Somehow our convection blower is spinning, but the suction part isn't working.

The light was not coming on, so I checked the box for the thermostat or the wires come out of. Turns out the box itself is been operated. I replaced the batteries and the light came on

I have a 1200 insert. During the night the stove is not calling for heat when it should. I have cleaned and inspected the coupler, could it be a bad thermostat?

You wont get a support response here - contact them directly. I would guess though a thermostat failure would be pretty obvious during the daytime (run a test). It could be something like shutting down after being run X number of hours, duet to maybe an airflow issue somewhere and getting hot. Just a guess

Worthless video 1200i was good runs about 3 months a year in 6 years I have replaced the auteur, the control box, the vacuum switch numerous snap discs, numerous thermocouples Clean it weekly - stove is not made that well while it’s nice to have the fire ( secondary heat source) the quality design and engineering of the stove are not that great. If your thinking of buying one I would seriously consider doing a lot of research as there are probably better stoves out there for the money. Support is only from the dealer and most are more interested in selling a new one that servicing one. Overall on a scale of 1-10 I would say when it runs it’s probably an 8 but overall probably more like a six and getting worse with age despite replacing many parts
