how is 80 squared -4 times 16 times 160 =128.99 i think it has to all be wrong

Remember the "80 squared minus (4)(-16)(160)" part is under a square root symbol. So while that part is equal to 16,640, you have to then find the square root of 16,640 which is about 128.99.

The first t is squared. You multiplied -16 by 2.5, but you should've multiplied -16 by (2.5 x 2.5).

@mess math Im trying to understand an equation. Perhaps you could help. What is the means of figuring out the constant downward slope of a sphere? According to 'crazy flat earth researchers' they say it is 8" x per mile sq. On a "ball" that is some 26,000 miles in circumference. Im truly trying to understand this. Your help, if possible, would be appreciated.
