Jonathan Sigworth, initially injured in 2006 between C5-C6 vertebrae with a resulting C7 complete quadriplegia, demonstrates the gymnastics of moving around and getting dressed. In 2017, Jon and his wife Jessica launched a non-profit, More Than Walking Incorporated, to film and edit other peer mentors' demonstrations and interviews and create an online video course for sharing the path to independence after SCI worldwide. Thanks Mr.Sigworth, your video is professional grade, i had a simpler thought of adding a sound track using my personal video camera. This will ensure that my folks in tamilnadu get to access it right away. I will definitely share it with you. We can always make it better when i find enough financial resources to have it professionally made in the future.

You're totally right, there is nothing simple about this process. He just makes it look like there is barely any effort needed because of how down-packed he has his routine. For new people trying this, it is anything but simple.

hello Mr.Fred Sigworth, thanks for sharing this video, it has inspired a client I am working with at this time and we are adapting some of john's techniques to make things happen for us. I would like to share your video to the local community in tamilnadu, India. may i utilize your video to add a tamil(our regional language) audio for it and share it on you tube. this way it will reach the tamil speaking people in our area and motivate them to come back to the community than stuck in bed.

how long has he been a quad? people who upload videos like these should put the timeline of their injury on the videos so viewers can get a perspective as to the level of skills the person on the video in question has, especially when using videos like these as education examples for acute SCI pts.

Dude! You are what my therapist likes to call a " design-a-quad" Little or no tone, long ass arms and awesome flexibility! I'm so stoked after watching this video...Just one question, how do you stay so thin?

Hi, great work. You might also be interested in having a look at the Active Hands hand grip aids to help hold things with weak hands. Google search "Active Hands" or "gripping aids". They hold fingers in really well to stop them popping out with movement. They are also padded, have Quad/tetra friendly finger loops which stay in position (instead of flopping around) when pushing loops through the D rings and are machine washable. Can be bought online and posted worldwide.
