Freind or no friend, I don't shove here either because I want as much as i can get. Now I realize the guy isn't Phil Ivy making a miraculous lay down and isn't likely to fold if I shove but I don't want to run the money off. I think he made the best move even if he did it for the wrong reason because the $100 bet feigns possible weakness allowing for the opponent to raise all in. I know Full House is hard to lay down but if I'm the opponent and you go all in against me after the third seven hits the board I'm going to figure you're holding A 7 or you were in with suited connectors and one of them is a 7.

Same thing. Flopping a set would mean he had a pocket pair and hit the third on the flop.
@jacewilliamson46982 жыл бұрын
You checked this flop and I'm like yes, you want to check-raise this board, he will have more flush draws here than you so check-raising will charge those draws that will cbet more than just leading, because they will just call. I assume btw the action was they open what looks to be +1 or the LJ and you defend your big blind, totally standard if so. You can mix in some 3-bets but a call is fine too. Then you check-call the cbet and I'm like what. Then the turn completes the flush and you check and he snap checks back, which caps his range at top pair, so you have him crushed all the time here. River is actually not important aside from an ace maybe if pocket aces are in his range on the turn, or a king, and you should be check raising again because his top pair hands will bet again not believing you have a flush after checking twice. Know that any card other than the case 7 or a king means he just calls this lead where he will let you check-raise all in if you check on the river. But he makes a boat so you end up getting all of his money anyway. Terrible play imo but a miracle run-out gets you paid the max anyway
