He told himself that he would try to save Stewie, and that same fateful day, he came across a corrupted Death. He knew what he had to do, so he went to try and save Death, starting Deathly Dystopia. Meanwhile, Stewie was corrupted, but still alive. He was suffering due to the Darkness trying to control him, and was trying to call out for help as far as I know, starting Desperation.
