Looks great...! To save money, why not put a heavy plastic on the poop tray?( instead of formica) And screen in w a Netting material? fish net is cheapest and strongest... Why roof the top since its inside?. Is also put netting... Why isn't your whole floor area gently sloped, looks like only half and THATS why you need doors on the back, to reach I I suspect... You got this!!!

I think for $20 a sheet of Formica that is really cheap and will last forever. The heavy plastic will likely rip when running the squeegee down to push the poop out. It would be cheaper to add netting for sure but the top will act as storage space and will likely be where I put my water container to supply the cages below. The whole floor is sloped. The high spot is in the middle and rolls towards the door. I hope that explains why I did what I did. Thank you for the ideas.

WOW, I really love your build. Are you still going to be able install the formica on the floors with the wire on it? I figured that would be done before you put the coated wire on. Also, can you remember how much the closet shelves cost you? I love it.

Yes the Formica will slide right in. I wanted to do it first but I won’t be picking it up until this week. Closet shelving was $21 per 8’ section. That’s about as cheap as it gets for something that works so well.

@@thelarochellefarm595 I love the closet shelving, I think my future cages will be using that as well. So much quicker and easier than building frames and doors. Now I can hardly wait for part 3.
