my 4 Chinese quails are super tame and all come running onto my hand when I go in the aviary... they feed from my hand and follow me about, so I have to be careful not to step on them. I don't know why they are so friendly, because on the internet it says they are shy birds.. like yours are. Mine will even tolerate me petting them and tickling them on their heads.. they like that, but not like being picked up off the ground.

They are indeed very shy birds, but with a lot of time, care and love they can be very tame.

It can sometimes be tricky, had already had some finch chicks surprises I didn't know of but until now I always found the nests

You should of put a special treat into the place they sleep and closed them in much less stressful for you and the birds

True, this cages was not build to move the quails. I can't catch them in the indoor area. The chance is too high they escape.
