In this video I go over the ease and challenges of installing a cab on my kioti dk35 tractor. I use the tractor year round and attach a rear 3pt snowblower during winter. Using 2x4s ripped down to 1.5x1.5 square I built the inner structure. The roof is made from 3/4 plywood. Doors are also made of 3/4 plywood. Walls are made of laun which is just shy of 1/4" thick (7/32"). The glass is 1/4 clear safety glass and the windows are held in place with locking window gasket. The exact name is trim-lok.
The cab is held in place with factory drilled holes for the steps and also at the rear where the factory 4 way caution lights went. The caution lights will be relocated to the roof at a later phase of the build. The piece of safety glass broke when I was routing out the clearance for the gasket material, clamped down just a little too hard. As the old saying goes you goto break a few eggs to make an omlette. This was a relatively inexpensive piece of glass to break in the grad scheme of things, it's a whatever mistake. I'll have a new one made when I have the door glass made. Might be able to have the glass shop recur this piece to work on the door, we'll have to wait to see.
