Little fun fact about this track. When I worked on it, the intro loop was programmed using samples off an Roland S760 sampler. The midi timing was off so it skipped a beat. I decided to leave it in there. So its basically playing an odd meter over the straight riff. ;)

@@urazoktay7940 True. I would say Half Life objectively was the better game than Unreal since it was more groundbreaking at the time. It served as the blueprint for most new school shooters after it since it dumped the previously established trope of speed and labyrinthine key hunting for something more realistic. But looking back, I'd say I still prefer Unreal over Half Life. After playing tons of tactical shooters I really don't like the general direction the genre has taken. Not blaming Half Life, but as Civvie says "later shooters learned all the wrong lessons from Half Life"

@@urazoktay7940 id software pushed the boundaries of real-time graphics engines. The graphics progressively were amazing. I have been a Quake fan since the 1 level test version leaked before Q1 came out, where you could run around and spawn a Shambler who could not see you. It was still mind-blowing playing in a full 3d environment with polygons you could walk around in a full circle rather than 2d sprites that was the standard at the time.

This song and hell march from RA are two of the best game choons ever. Also Carmageddon had awesome music, like iron maiden etc.

+Tyron Smith I bet we all have someone we wish the Strogg would enslave or obliterate, or turn into cybernetic hybrids that we could kill ourselves.

Quake is doing its own thing, but I'm sure they could do what Doom is doing That's one thing Quake, Doom, Half-life, were more gameplay than cinematic Story our for the curious

@TROPIX_YT I haven’t played multiplayer games in 5 years nor do I care to play any so it’s irrelevant to me if it has multiplayer or not as long as I get a good single player experience.
