Quaker City Night Hawks: Big Texan Starlight Ranch - Set 1

This band from Fort Worth claims to play original rock and roll but much of it has a country beat to it as dancers glide around the dance floor. Member David Matsler is from Amarillo, Texas where his mother who is a singer/songwriter herself lives.

David Matzler who plays lead guitar and writes most of the songs for the band is the son of Kim Matzler Yarborough who lives in Amarillo. She is a talented singer-songwriter in her own right and was responsible for introducing me to the band when they performed in Amarillo. I have also recorded her band "The Crash" several times in Amarillo. They are all a delight to know and spend time with.
