Excellent fix for the rototiller. If you change the belt on the pulley it will increase the rpm of the tines a lot. It will dig better but will give the operator a better workout. It will make a man of Gary. Great job. Thanks for the video.
@davidthehillbilly79954 жыл бұрын
That Honda engine has a gear reduction output. The poor tiller is only seeing 1/3-1/5 of the RPM it is expecting. It will do a much better job with full crankshaft revs if you have another engine without the gear reduction box. You will need to redo your mounting and push the engine rearward since a non gearbox engine will have the output shaft 2 or 3 inches closer to the front of the machine....
@retrorestore4 жыл бұрын
I just need to speed the engine up.
@andrewwitham54054 жыл бұрын
The Honda has a 2:1 reduction box. The PTO won’t be turning fast enough for the tiller.
@andrewwitham54054 жыл бұрын
retrorestore you can’t speed it up enough. It would need to run at 7200 RPM to compensate for the reduction box. The engine will fail at around 4-5000RPM.

Hello Martin, I discovered your channels a few weeks ago and I have binge watched them since. I am too old and the wrong shape to climb under cars etc. but you have given me great entertainment. It has been a pleasure to watch the trials and tribulations of your rise in the KZbin world. Your family gatherings and the love and loyalty shown is wonderful to see in this day and age. There is not much in your content I do not watch. I did enjoy watching the reruns of your live streams and it literally made me shed a tear when each of your dogs passed. As a dog owner myself I understand your sadness. Sorry to drone on but I thought I would just let you know how your "adventures" have given me pleasure. Much love to you and your family and I think of you often when pottering about in my sheds and garden. Phil.

Martin, here in the states we call that a rotor-tiller. And you don't take any wheels off for them to work. Your engine is not transferring the power to the belt/gear assembly correctly. When it is working properly, the cultivating tines will spin a heck of a lot faster and dig in without effort. Been there and done that many many times. You need to dig into it more to see what is not working properly yet. Thumbs Up!
@adierob14 жыл бұрын

I know it will be difficult to continue to produce content of this quality all the time but I'm sure if you do then you will be admired and watched by so many of us out here in the land of people for whom mainstream TV offers nothing to interest us.

So this evening's video is a bit rough n ready bloody Samsung grr grr, would help if I hadn't been tucked up with what was supposed to be an Ixus 5... what I got instead was an Ixus L.1 inside an Ixus 5 box, was so cross and the seller has closed their account so no refund for me :( Gonna just buy a go pro this months PIP and sod Canon and Samsungs, may their executives develop incurable rectal complications that itch like a bit...

Ixus L.1 btw is a film camera which is a LOT of use for a digital setup... Wished I had me mums camera's, after leaving Fleet St she went into films and tv screenwriting and made some docs for Channel 4, she had some very expensive ex BBC stuff that recorded direct to a Betamax cassette, had to be a Kodak one as well for some reason but it came with its own portable studio for mixing, editing, dubbing, live and recorded inset's and it weighed a ton but the clarity of it was majestic. She had for audio nothing but Uher reel to reel and a super expensive Sony mic she was given when she was at LBC.
