If you have faith in doctor, even though there is pain involved in the treatment process, you tolerate because you know being cured is easier than tolerating the pain of the treatment. Whether the misery is from bad karma or krishna giving, see what is the improvement that you can make in your thoughts, actions, attitude along side continuing your bhakti. Over time you will be glad that everything happened for your good by Krishna's arrangement.
