Can a study have ONE research participant? Sampling in qualitative research

Thank you. I am currently in the process of conducting interviews as part of my master's research project. However, several of the intended participants have had to cancel for various reasons, and so I have only 1 participant who is still willing to participate. So stressful 😟

Yes, this can be stresful but you'll be fine if you explain this in your dissertation (the challenges you faced)
