Which LV bag did you have on your radar? Unfortunately I made quite some unpleasant experiences with the LV quality in the recent years 😕 (I do have several videos about it.. recieved faulty bags from the onlineshop aswell). If you have the chance to visit a boutique and check out the bag live in person, you can make sure, there’s nothing wrong with it. Or maybe consider going preloved/vintage - the LV quality used to be so much better back in the days.

I think you are right about going to a boutique and looking at the bags they have available in shop to get one that is not defective. A friend told me that in Hawaii the LV stores have a discount? Mary - this is interesting - I purchased a zippy coin purse at a boutique last year - I haven't used it yet - so your video made me go and look at it. Mine does close all of the way without the hole. I would be interested to know if people ordering items online have more trouble with the quality vs people who buy directly from a boutique

Maybe they wouldn’t even put such a faulty item on display to be sold at a boutique. You are not over reacting at all, this is a huge quality issue, and this is such a simple piece, how can they fail at this? LV is my favorite brand too, but lately I have been happier buying from contemporary brands, honestly I haven't seen such bizarre quality issues with those cheaper brands. My mini pochette is one of the "good ones" where the canvas align right and all and still the stitching on the tab is very imperfect. How come Coach And a Michael Kors are able to stitch a zipper all the way to the end of their wallets, and with straight stitching 😐

I just received the holiday monogram key pouch which costs over $412 US dollar. The zipper does not work at all and I am not exaggerating. I can not close it without a huge struggle with 2 hands. Very disappointed and shocked at their quality control.

i understand how you feel, i have same issue on my multiple wallet received on 13/7/22, the thin layer of transparent coating on the canvas which protect the canvas started to peel off and it will spread all over the whole canvas if i use the wallet daily , its not stick to the canvas anymore and went off the canvas and it is very easy to see and that really annoying me everytime i look at it....i mean common this is a brand new wallet that costs $500 dollars i just bought, but it looks like used even i know its not, and on the leather section there was a 9mm long of scars, ok im done, i have called customer service and arrange for a return exchange....

Mari, you are 100% correct with the 2 issues and I do hope you return it. I have only purchased through a client advisor in a store and she ships to me. She carefully looks over my items so I believing this spares me these painful moments. I live 2 plus hours from the closet boutique yet my advisor is on the other side of the country. The fact we continue to love despite known quality issues is a bit crazy. These lack of quality control protocols must not be dampening sales or they would have to address. Oh that happened with me Mary when I went to get my Trevi repaired. They gave me a zipper pull with a big hole on the other end of it! I asked them to repair it again and they fixed it. Why don't you check the Kirigami set, brilliant set at a good price! LV is my favorite too, so don't give up! Just try to get in touch with a SA online who can help you. So sorry you had this problem. I’m a very loyal LV client for years but last year they put me off wit a poor quality Speedy 20. She literally looked like a poor replica. So crooked and asymmetrical. Off course I could return it and got my money back, but they told me right away that now someone else is lucky to get a Speedy20. I only by in the boutique and inspect everything thoroughly. I have never been a seeker for flaws. But I guess nowadays they completely skipped quality control. They except us to do their qc instead.

Ugh, so disappointing!! I agree with others, I am starting to think LV is sending these defects out to online shoppers thinking they can get away with it easier. I feel lucky that both of my ZCP wallets are perfect. One was from Fashionphile, so I was able to inspect it close up in photos. One benefit of preloved is you are getting the exact item you saw on screen. I received three defective new LV items last year purchased from the website -- the defective Odeon MM was shockingly bad (raised ridge through the middle of the canvas), should have never been made into a handbag, much less made it out of the factory. If you still love the style, I would give it another go buying pre-loved, with high-res photos!

I was told by CA she is sure it will get replaced since it is a known issue. Then i was told that i have to pay $510 to get it fixed. I was so dissapointed and i was left with no other options.

Hi Mary, the zipper is absolutely a quality issue. I spotted that the zipper was crooked as soon as you showed the hole. I thought it was my imagination until you pulled the zipper down and mentioned it. I feel sorry for you because it should have been a special piece and now you had a bad experience. I have the Chanel cardholder that’s similar to the Zippy, and I think it was $600 US. It’s more expensive but it’s leather and I’m happy with the quality. It might be something to look at. 🙂

I don't want to believe I am picky either, but I am also not so proud to admit when I see a mistake and pretend it doesn't bother me. My money is hard earned and my work ethic won't allow me to ignore obvious/glaring mistakes. It seems foolish to just accept poor quality like the money you spent on it doesn't matter. The hole looks very distasteful since the inside of the wallet is visible and looks unfinished, zipper is crooked(where is quality control?) and the visible thread(again, where is quality control?). Hi Mari, wow 😮 the hole is too big. That isn’t acceptable, I would be furious. I never would have looked at the zipper closure part but the funny thing is my new zippy coin purse in damier graphite actually is a little crooked as well 😔, it’s not huge and it’s small enough that I can get over it, but the fabric part on the right side is not lined correctly and all the way up. The fabric lining on the right side when the wallet is closed all the way, the inside gusset is just slightly showing because it isn’t covered all the way, I would say about 2mm or so. But at least it closes pretty much all the way. I know it’s just nitpicking but still…. It’s an expensive luxury brand, we shouldn’t have to worry about zippers and lining 🥺. And with the price going up it’s just sad 😢

Thank you for sharing Tim! I‘m sorry I made you aware of the zipper and that you now noticed there‘s a little gap on yours too 🙈. It‘s such a shame, that LV‘s quality decreased like that and we even have to check our pieces for flaws 😕

You‘re so right Laura! Eventhough I have to confess: I don’t know what I would have done, if it was a limited edition piece from a collection, that I was absolutely crazy about. It‘s such a shame, that these quality issues occur that often at LV now 😩

Ganz lieben Dank 🥰 - ich drücke die Daumen, dass dein Zippy besser verarbeitet ist! Ich habe mir vor kurzem einen gebrauchten von 2012 in Damier Azur gekauft. Er hat an der Stelle auch ein kleines Loch, aber nicht so schlimm und krumm, wie der Geldbeutel, den ich neu gekauft hatte 🙈

@@LuMiLevelUp the monogram one was purchased in 2019 and it’s good there is a barley there gap, I say that because the ones I got this year have zero gap. One is in DE and pink inside and the other is in the large monogram, all canvas pieces. This years were made much better but the all monogram is still my favorite and it’s so beautiful! The gap in the one you received is just not acceptable! Did you scan it to make sure it was chipped?
