Why Santouka Hokkaido Japanese Restaurant? The only reason why we discover this is due to heavy traffic at Marcos Highway going to Sta Lucia Mall The Dimsum House!
They have combo meals with main course, appetizer, drinks and dessert for only P499 to P799 per person.
This meal is highly recommended especially for big eater like me hahaha.
Matcha Ice Cream is authentic and really delicious! I really love matcha and this restaurant offers organic Matca.

Santouka Hokkaido Japanese Restaurant is a specific branch of the renowned Santouka ramen chain, located in Hokkaido, Japan. This location is particularly significant as it represents the original roots of the Santouka brand. Here’s what you should know about Santouka’s Hokkaido restaurant.
The Hokkaido branch is where Santouka began, in the city of Asahikawa, known for its rich ramen culture. Asahikawa is the second-largest city in Hokkaido, and it's famous for its own style of ramen, which is a key inspiration for Santouka's offerings.
The restaurant is renowned for its authentic tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen, which is a cornerstone of the Santouka brand. The rich, creamy broth and carefully prepared ingredients make it a standout.
This is the flagship dish of Santouka, featuring a deep, flavorful pork bone broth that's been simmered for hours. It’s typically served with ramen noodles, slices of chashu (braised pork belly), bamboo shoots, green onions, and sometimes a soft-boiled egg.
Variations: Some versions may include additional toppings or variations, depending on local preferences.
Shoyu Ramen - A soy sauce-based ramen that offers a lighter alternative to the tonkotsu, with a savory and aromatic broth.
You might find traditional Japanese side dishes like gyoza (dumplings), tempura, or pickled vegetables.
The Hokkaido location likely maintains a traditional ramen shop ambiance, with a focus on comfort and authenticity. It offers a genuine taste of Japanese ramen culture.
Expect efficient and friendly service, typical of Japanese dining establishments.
As Santouka’s signature dish, the tonkotsu ramen is a must-try. It showcases the restaurant's commitment to quality and flavor.
Since you’re in Hokkaido, you might also want to explore other local ramen variations or regional specialties that are unique to the area.
Popular ramen spots in Japan, especially those with a good reputation, can be quite busy, so consider visiting during off-peak hours if you prefer a quieter experience.
Some locations may accept reservations, but many ramen shops operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
While English may not be widely spoken, most Japanese ramen shops have menus with pictures, making it easier to order.
Santouka’s Hokkaido restaurant offers a quintessential ramen experience, staying true to its roots and providing a taste of what has made Santouka famous worldwide.
