Love yours videos. I'm from New Zealand and we're I live is about zone 9B so all the palms that you work with are everywhere here. The trachycarpus is considered a pest here, impossible to kill them but ya know we get tons of rain so they never really struggle compared to California Speaking of hardy zones were I am gets -2c ( 27f) a few times a year Once in a decade we may get a -4c ( 24f) is that possible to have kentia palm? There everywhere on the coast here but people are starting to grow them inland we're there is the odd frost How cold has the kentia taken back over in California where you are? What Temps start to burn the leaves? I read all sorts but what's your experience?

The Kent palm seems to suffer more from sunburn inland than frost as you can have a totally frost free spot on top of a hill, but if it’s out exposed to the sun, it will scorch it and ultimately kill it over a number of years you can grow them Throughout zone if they’re underneath big evergreen trees for both sun protection and frost protection. But as long as you’re staying above 27° and you’re not going above 100°F then you should be able to grow pretty well You will get some discoloration and some browning at 27° but not that bad
