I read somewhere that diluted bleach becomes unstable after 24 hours? Does diluted hydrogen peroxide stay more past 24 hours unlike diluted bleach?
@Dominated24 жыл бұрын
I've been in holistic health for 30 years. One thing of note, you really do not have to dilute the 3%, as it's not corrosive on countertops, clothes, furniture, bedrooms, bathrooms, you name it etc.. Been doing it for 25 years. .05 percent is a safe measure though I suppose, for the paranoid. Anyway, who ever has a disagreement with this, I always say how much hard alcohol have you drank in your lives? Or how much sanitizer have you been using lately? The HP breaks down into oxygen and water eventually. Alcohol to poison or sugar.

If I may add a few things to this great and useful idea. One- use distilled water (tap water has fluoride, and other chemicals you don’t want interfering with your solution). Two- use a bottle that’s not transparent. Hydrogen peroxide loses it’s strength when exposed to light (that’s why it comes in an opaque container). Keep your solution bottle in a cool place in your home and be careful with what you use the solution on (it may tarnish or fade some surfaces when used regularly). Lastly, try to use each “batch” quickly, do not leave it sitting around too long- it can loose it’s strength and the water will become stagnant.

False. H202 is in fact very toxic. But you wont know exactly how toxic it is until you guage the concentration. NIOSh/ OSHA permissible exposure limit into an aerosol is 5-10ppm. 25-75 is IDLH. Reference: Inactivation of Coronavirus by Hydrogen peroxide was effective with a concentration of 0.5% and an exposure time of 1 min. www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2590088920300081 www.pacificmedicalcenters.org/about-us/news-press/novel-coronavirus-covid-19/ It’s best to use the standard hydrogen peroxide bought at supermarkets as those are stabilized by the manufacturer to prevent decomposing due to light or chlorine. If possible, store in a dark bottle. If a dark bottle is unavailable, any spray bottle is fine as long as the solution is used within 1-2 weeks and stored away from direct sunlight. -- Please check out my channel for more videos like this. @@josephryanmabaquiao4825 She us using 0.5%, which is 1/2 of one percent.
@elmastersparkles4 жыл бұрын
To get .5% from 3% you have to have 1 part 3% hydrogen peroxide lets say 50ml and (5) more parts water (preferably distilled or previously boiled water to have a total of 300 ml solution, one part of that is hydrogen peroxide (50ml). 50ml/300ml =1/6 and 1/6 of .03= .005? Or is my math incorrect :/

Some countries are attacking the virus with hydrogen peroxide. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWTZgXiCrpylqNk The death counts as of May 12 were Russia 2119, Indonesia 1007, Qatar 14 Vietnam 0, Turkey 3841, Pakistan 706, Sharjah 198, Lebanon 26, Malaysia 109, Kenya 33, Dubai 2

Right off, doesn't it hurt the peroxide effect, if exposed to light for too long, isn't that's why it's always in a dark bottle, another tip alot of the spray tips will fit directly into the original peroxide bottle

Can this be used directly on a mask to disinfect?
@NonnofYobiznes4 жыл бұрын
No. For masks, put them in the oven (NOT MICROWAVE) at 70 degrees Celsius for 30 mins. That's the way many hospitals are doing.

Thanks for the video. But to get .5% solution, shouldn’t it be 250ml water needed to mix with 50ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide? End result would be 300ml diluted hydrogen peroxide.
@QualityDaydreams4 жыл бұрын
No. Please be careful as you want at least 0.5% for it to deactivate the coronavirus. To produce this 0.5% solution. Use 42 mL (I rounded it up to 50 mL to be easier) of 3% hydrogen peroxide. Then fill up the rest with water for a TOTAL of 250 mL. Here’s the dilution calculator: www.physiologyweb.com/calculators/dilution_calculator_molarity_percent.html
@bhaskarbhupalam99524 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the response. If we used 42ml, then 210ml water to be added to make 252ml (42*3/0.5) final volume is correct. But if we use 50ml hydrogen peroxide, then 250ml water can bee added to make final volume of 300ml (50*3/0.5). Anyways, your measurements are okay but they will make 0.6% solution (50*3/250) instead of 0.5% solution (50*3/300). I agree it is better to be a bit higher percentage than lower.

Can we use Hydrogen Peroxide Topical solution (Hydrogen peroxide stabilized 3%) instead of regular 3% Hydrogen Peroxide?
@QualityDaydreams4 жыл бұрын
Cyrus Hashemi Yes, all standard hydrogen peroxide is stabilized, which prevents it from decomposing. It is 3%, so you need to dilute it the same way.

Isnt it makes 0.75% solution? 3% 1 part dilute with 4 part water so 3% divide by 4 makes 0.75% right?
@QualityDaydreams4 жыл бұрын
0.5% hydrogen peroxide is the minimum to kill the coronavirus. I like to put a little extra just in case. So 50 mL of 3% HP added to water for a total of 250 mL solution diluted it to 0.6% Hydrogen peroxide.

What happens if you use more than the recommended amount of Hydrogen Peroxide?
@QualityDaydreams4 жыл бұрын
A little more than 0.5% is not bad. Undiluted 3% is too strong for cleaning. It will “burn” your hands and discolor porous surfaces and clothing. Take care!
@briibrii84534 жыл бұрын
Nothing happens I been using it for ever straight out the bottle and never got burns or discoloration on clothes or countertops 🤷♀️
@jazminad4 жыл бұрын
william jr is best to use undiluted . Adding water makes it lose its effectiveness in killing bacteria . I'm not sure how this would work in killing a virus . I just use straight from the bottle and leave for 5 minutes . If you are concerned in discoration just wipe after 5 minutes .

I do have a problem with your application. The technic you demonstrate for application doesn't appear to allow a minute of dwell time. Meaning that the surface needs to stay wet for an entire minute if you are trying to disinfect for the virus. Other disinfection applications can need longer also.
@QualityDaydreams4 жыл бұрын
Steve McCord Yes it will take 1 minute for hydrogen peroxide to deactivate the virus. All potentially infected items should be sprayed down. Smaller items like door knobs, faucet, etc could be wiped with a soaked paper towel the same way someone would clean with disinfectant wipes.

21 mL of 6% hydrogen peroxide. Then add water to make a TOTAL of 250mL. This will make 0.5% HP solution. I usually add a little more HP to be safe. See dilution calculator here: www.physiologyweb.com/calculators/dilution_calculator_molarity_percent.html
