Never test the impedance of the coil while its on its face. It will give you a wrong reading. Thats why when he puts his hand on the back of the speaker it changed on his meter.

You can only wire a (single) dual 2 ohm voice over to 1 ohm or 4ohms 🙃 The question you should ask is: what amp will run at 1 ohm(or 4 ugh)

Hello I have a single pioneer ts-sw2002d2 8 inch and a OEM amp which carry's 2 ohms at the amp. Do I connect the 2 positive posts together and and 2 negative posts to the amp to get a 2 ohm load? I know it was at 1.5 ohm which was 2 ohms nominal. I wanted to double check that was the same config for just a single sub-woofer.

I mean don't recommend doing this, TECHNICALLY you can, but you'll be getting less than half the rated power plus it will alter all specifications and T/S parameters, won't perform near its potential

If by sources you mean amps, then the answer is yes. But you would need a head unit that has 2 rca plug ins and you would need to tune them the same if there gonna be in the same box(if one’s pusher harder, the air will mess with the frequency your box makes). 🤙🏾

After you wire the positive to negative on each subwoofer, THEN can I wire the existing positive and negative of each sub to the terminal cup INSIDE the sub box, then on the outside of the box take those positive and negative wires to the amp? Yes you can wire the subwoofers to the same terminal cup, that will be a paralleled connection 1/2 the woofer impedance. Then you can run a speaker wire to the amp. If it is a monoblock amp with multiple speaker outputs, it will not matter which positive or negative you use, those are paralleled too.

my amp has two bridgeable channels that push 200 Watts at 4 Ohms, 300 watts at 2 ohms & 600 watts at 4 Ohms bridged. one channel is burned out. DVC 4 ohm 400W each Ok so always look at RMS, MAX ratings are bs. Two DVC 4 ohm subwoofers make a 1 ohm load or 4 ohm load, 1 ohm load will get you more power. Two 4 ohm DVC subs cannot make a 2 ohm load. They make either a 1 ohm or 4 ohm load. So if the amp can do 1 ohm then wire in parallel, if it can do 4 ohm then wire it in series. But make sure the power ratings match at each impedance
