Oh oui, ce serait tellement bien !! Par contre, pas facile pour un non francophone ( je dirais même un "non franchouillard") de saisir tous les seconds degrés et les tournures de langage. C'est à la fois de la punchline qui peut paraître lourde mais avec tellement de finesse dans les sous-entendus et les situations... Pourtant, c'est vrai que ça serait intéressant de voir les réactions surtout face aux insultes débitées par Arthur et Léodagan. 😅

@@helene1265 Il faudrait non seulement une très bonne traduction, mais il faudrait aussi trouver peut-être un doublage avec des acteurs qui donnent corps aux personnages. Un peu comme les doubleurs de la série Malcolm qui sont excellents en France (il est rare qu'une série doublée VO soit meilleure qu'une VO, mais pour ma part je trouve que le doublage de cette série rend chaque épisode encore meilleur). Parce que non seulement dans Kaamelott il y a des tournures de phrases qui nécessitent une traduction aux petits oignons, mais il faut aussi comprendre les différentes intonations de voix et les différents accents. Par exemple, quand le roi Loth part dans ses délires, son côté ampoulé s'entend jusque dans sa manière de prononcer. Quand il dit : " Ah ! À ce propos, je dois vous avouer que j'ai longtemps réfléchi à savoir comment vous deviez m'appeler. [...] Éh oui ! Parce que vous êtes pas, à proprement parler, un de mes sujets. Vous êtes pas sous mes ordres non plus. "Sire" c'est quand même un peu ampoulé. Alors j'ai pensé à beaucoup de choses. "Loth", "Seigneur", "Monsieur"... Je me suis même demandé si vous deviez pas m'appeler "vieille branche", "mon p'tit pote" ou "canaillou". ", la traduction seule ne suffit pas, il faut aussi comprendre le côté pompeux de l'intonnation avec un tout léger accent de parigot des années 20 qui casse bien le personnage dans ses ambitions "aristocratiques"...

It's always great to see people from others countries enjoying our sense of humor in France, and I do agree with you: comedy is always better (actually funnier) in its original language, and this works with any language. Some jokes just can't be translated, that's why I prefer to watch US comedies in english, it's just better! Anyway Palmashow did a TON of videos and a lot of them are gold, they are really good. When you start to watch one, you watch dozens of them eventually 🙂 I know you already had this recommendation but you should try KAAMELOTT from Alexandre Astier. (I'm afraid that's not available on YT unfortunately because of copyrights). I would love to see your face watching this very particular show with its very particular "old(but gold)-fashioned slang french" used in old B&W french movies from Audiard, and inspired by the 60's French master of comedy named Louis de Funès. Add a pinch of Monthy Python and voilà... you have Kaamelott. But I guess this would challenge your level in French as there are so many slang words, quirky and off-beat for most of them, especially in a show where the story takes place at the round table with King Arthur. I think comedy is always better in its original langage, because of the style and the rythm. It is the same for me when I watch american comedy, it is not as good when it is translated even if it is a perfect translation.
