@@quantaaudio hi there. Why does the time displayed on the length differ with what studio one parameter display at the top left corner? Even @4:06 you said 10 seconds but the length displayed 50s Thats very confusing to me. Please give clarity where you can
@ELLIOT82094 жыл бұрын
@@quantaaudio again @4:51 you mention that you are taking the pre to 0ms but the left top corner display is showing negative 110ms. Whats going on with that?

great. It really helps understand how to use room reverb in Studio One. Actually, I looked at the graphic depictions within room reverb and I had no idea what that was... but now it get's pretty clear. I used it before, but I only took the default settings of it and then was dissatisfied. We'll certainly use all the knobs now. It's great to be able to change the distance for instance...

As always, I learnt a few things; the early reflections/reverb ratio knob is poorly titled and now I know what it is for; the red and the green lines are clear to me at last; dampness is the corrugation of the walls. Nice. Thanks.

Any idea how to turn off economy mode where when I turn the size know it won't turn the length know for example

Would I be correct to consider the dampness knob is equivalent to hi-cut and population is low-cut? is there modulation parameters that I can control? Nice vids

Thank you for the tutorials man. Your hard work is much appreciated. How does room reverb compare to Valhalla? And can I sort the FX manually or by type?
@quantaaudio7 жыл бұрын
Thanks, BA. I haven't used the Valhalla reverb so I can't really speak on it. I think they have a 30-day trial version though so it could be good to download that and perform and A/B test on a several different tracks between the Valhalla and the Room Reverb. If you're looking for a quality reverb and have S1 professional, then I'd recommend checking out" Open Air"! The FXs can't be sorted manually, but there is a wrench icon in the far right corner of the Effects tab header that when clicked, will allow you to choose favorites that will then show up at the top of the list. In that same header area you can choose to sort by: Flat, Folder, Vendor and Type. The folder sort option will group the effects by Reverb, Dynamics, Mixing, etc.

Hey Quanta I had a question. How would we calculate the predelay and delay times so that it matches the tempo of the song. I noticed studio one's "pre," parameter doesn't give you the option program a bigger delay time.
@quantaaudio6 жыл бұрын
Not sure that I am totally understanding your question since reverb is not rhythmic(verses something like a delay effect, which repeats itself and can be matched to song tempo). So, not sure how you're wanting to match it to the song tempo... Also, if I have an active room reverb device on a track, I am able to adjust the "pre" parameter in milliseconds to control it's length on my system. Maybe I'm misunderstanding?
@PatonsView6 жыл бұрын
Oh so If I'm not mistaken I can tempo sync a delay effect, and tempo sync the "predelay" parameter in a reverb?
@quantaaudio6 жыл бұрын
You can tempo sync a delay effect, yes. But not the "pre delay" in room reverb. You can only adjust it's length in milliseconds.

Hmm, I'm a little confused. I was watching this video earlier, that's where I got the idea from. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sGLaloqZorKig68
@ELLIOT82094 жыл бұрын
@@PatonsView I came to this video for exactly that. There are reverb calculators that give you predelay and tail times according to your song tempo in order to get perfect reverb that hits and fades nicely with the every beat. Room reverb makes it difficult to use such times

is Room Reverb a paid feature? cant find it w the rest of the effects.
@quantaaudio Жыл бұрын
I believe that the Room Reverb is only included in the professional version of S1, so if you're using artist or prime it is not available.

What would you say is the comparison between the Room Reverb and Mixverb?
@quantaaudio7 жыл бұрын
Mixverb is a basic and CPU efficient reverb that's meant to be used as an insert effect. Room reverb is a room emulator that is a bit more intensive on CPU use but has more available parameters and potential for creative "spaces" and is designed more for use as a send effect or on the main master output. If you're using S1 professional there is also Open Air, which makes use of convolution reverb. It's pretty intensive on the processor, however!
