dear SL Khan I happen to watch your video and it's nice to see the way you talk about civil engineering. But as you have mentioned, π×(D2-d2÷4×depth or height is totally different. That formula is only applicable for the cross sectional area of a hollow circle. There are many ways where we can calculate the volume of a circular walls. The most efficient and easy one is ~ height × thickness × π × radius × 2. Thanks

khalid shah thank you dear for your nice appreciation. and thanks for your formula. by the way i also know about your formula and the concept is the cross section area times height. as in your formula you multiply the thickness with height which is the area of wall section and then you multiply that with 2×pi×R which is the circumstances. so the formula becomes so complecated for beginners . am i right? thanks for joining SLK's tuts.

Bilal Saif check the channel in detail you will find a lecture named as how to calculate any material weight using one formula. i hope your answer will be there in that lecture. how ever water quantity is taken in volume like you said 1 lac gallon. which mean 1 lac gallon is the quantity of water. or you can calculate water litters. like just find the volume of tank . multiply volume with 1000 to get water inform of litters. remember the volume must be in cu.m if you use 1000 in place. thanks for asking
