I was on the Quantum in February 2022 when it was sailing out of Singapore. I understand some of the crew actually sailed together from Singapore to Alaska and were probably working on your sailing!! Awesome video!

Must've been the cruise before mine. I'm on the Quantum right now! 5/16-23 and pulling into Juneau and starting to see ice chunks floating by. Never been on a cruise and never seen icebergs. It's cool as is but can't wait to see a glacier.

Hi Debbie, thanks for watching and for all your comments. The pools were a little bit colder than I would like but they weren't freezing. They may be warmer now as it's been awhile since I have been on the ship. The hot tubs are definitely hot so you'll enjoy them especially in Alaska if you take the ship there. The Xbox station do have limited hours but you can check those when you go to the SeaPlex, they are not 24/7 from what I recall.

Hi there, from what I recall, the my time/anytime dining restaurants were the 2 on the 3rd floor, The Grande and Chic. That may have changed since I went on the ship over a year ago but you can always ask the day you board, and you can request they be different nightly.

Hi D'ma! The weather in Alaska is very unpredictable and can be hit or miss. One week it can be 50 and cold/raining and the next week it can be 70 and sunny. My advice is to go prepared for the unexpected :) Take layers, rain coat and other comfortable clothes in case you do get lucky if it hits upper 60s/70s, it can happen in Alaska! Last summer i went to Alaska twice in a month and one week it was cold and in the 50s and the other week it was in the upper 60s/low 70s. I appreciate you watching the video, you are going to have a fantastic time on the beautiful Quantum of the Seas to Alaska! :)

Hi Debbie! If you're vegetarian, definitely Jamie's. If you are not vegetarian, it depends on how much you like steak :) If you absolutely love steak, then I heard Chops Grille is pretty amazing. We are vegetarian so have only done Jamie's and enjoyed it very much!

what is Alaska like in May? Wanting to book when kids sail free and begining of May is the only time can do it.

Hi Jane! Alaska is definitely cool around the May timeframe. You may even see some snow in ports/mountains. One thing to keep in mind is if you go on Quantum of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas or any ship that goes through Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier, there is a lot of ice in the inlet and the ship a lot of times cannot get into Dawes Glacier. Everything is weather dependent including in Glacier Bay National Park (on Norwegian) however I think the success is higher to get to Glacier Bay. For an example I have cruised to Dawes Glacier 4 times but only made it twice. Glacier bay I am 2 for 2. I recommend both ships and itineraries as I have gone to Alaska 7 times :) Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi Shen! This was only a 5-night sailing and with it being the first one out of Seattle the capacity was just 2,500 out of 4,000 people. While many people were off the ship during the port day, it didn't really feel too packed even during sea days. It's still early in the season but I heard that the 7-night cruises that started last week (May 9th) are sailing at full capacity. Hope that helps!

We saw many people using the outdoor pool during our 2 Alaska cruises on Quantum. If it's a warm day people will use it, also the water was heated too so it helped a little. Not heated like a jacuzzi but comfortable. If it's raining or windy or rough seas the pool would be closed.

Hi Bruce, great questions! Quantum of the Seas does not have a Central Park onboard as it is a Quantum-class ship. For Central Park, you will want to try Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, Symphony of the Seas, Wonder of the Seas, or soon to come, Icon of the Seas and Utopia of the Seas. Hi Rajesh, yes they do offer Indian vegetarian food onboard and it is delicious, one of my favorites. You can ask for indian vegetarian dish at the main dining room as part of their "secret" menu and you will also see some indian food at the Windjammer buffet. They also had an Indian food buffet one night. So good!

Really wish you had gone slower through the food venues, and taken a moment to focus on menus when available. Also, didn’t see the teen club. The noodle restaurant on the pool deck didn’t have noodles or milk tea on the menu, but you didn’t address that. A lot of the time it felt like you weren’t paying attention to what the camera was focused on. :(
