I studied quantum physics last term in college and this video goes right along with what I have come to understand about the nature of the universe. I called it energy when I hypothesized it, but consciousness describes the concept just as well. This stuff makes a lot of sense if you are willing to accept how little we truly know about the world around us.

Dad had a genius IQ; he could think his way out of a cardboard box. We had great conversations about the universe when I was very small, from age 5 onward He said, "You can look down into your hand and out into the universe and it is all the same, worlds within worlds." The movie Contact affected me very much since Dad and I would sit at night using Morse Code and a ham radio set Dad built to contact other people doing the same thing. At 9 I learned Morse Code in order to do this with Dad. Great memories. And I believe the universe and every living thing is God's sound waves. Remember He spoke us into being.

I've been researching this field (damn pun!) for years, again and again this theory presents itself albeit labelled differently, I really think this is the answer to the big question. What is at the root of existence: Pure consciousness and this incredible physical creation is an expression/projection "thought into being". Thanks Russell for these insights into consciousness- I agree that I think all things stem from consciousness rather than the other way around. It would make sense that matter could be a slower denser vibrational extension of consciousness- a beautiful, intricate creation of consciousness that allows it (us) to experience itself in its unlimited possible outcomes & thus learn about itself or maybe even evolve and deepen. When you mentioned you spoke to John Hagelin, my first reaction was “GET. OUT!” 😺 I’m so jealous, can’t wait to see this interview. Would also love to watch yourself and Jim Carey sit down over a cuppa and chat about consciousness. It would do my head in but I’d still love to watch it ❤️

We're more likely to first discover the subtle energy field of prana or Om vibration that permeates all creation, which are grosser manifestations of consciousness but are subtler than matter. Even that would be a great boon for humanity and would validate age old yogic teachings. Regardless, we're already moving towards an expansion of human consciousness. Look at how popular meditation has become. 50 years ago there were far fewer people doing it then there are now. In fact, science itself may begin to change as people's consciousness continues to evolve.

@@francismadden8561 Well, I've been meditating and practicing/studying Tibetan buddhism for over 20 years, and I can confirm what Russel says about awareness being separate from thoughts is true, as proven by the fact that we are able observe our own thoughts. Awareness is an entirely different kind of consciousness/intelligence than the thinking mind, which becomes obvious in meditation. And as far as being in the moment, you are right, however, in order to function as human beings, we do need to think about the future and past for practical reasons, but the best kind of awareness is the awareness of now, as time rolls on. Meditation strengthens the mental habit of placing awareness in the present. The ability to control where one's attention lies is the discipline that develops from meditation. We can control our thoughts to the degree that we can consciously chose which object to place our awareness upon, instead of letting our thoughts drag us around willy-nilly. I don't think Russell is an amateur in these topics. His view is different from my own, in that he practices TM rather than Shamatha or Vipassana meditation techniques, and his Vedic-based teachings acknowledge the existence of "God", whereas buddhism does not. His descriptions of the meditation process, and the kind of understandings that arise from them are perfectly accurate, based on my own experience. I wouldn't dismiss Russell's level of spiritual attainment just because he's an entertainer. I think, in general, we tend not to take entertainers very seriously as human beings. Thus I conclude my lengthy thesis...

It may seem equally tenable to presume human consciousness as the emergent result of material phenomena (materialism) or that there is some kind of consciousness _hypokeimenon_ that humans tap into which results in human consciousness (panpsychism), but consider the following analogies. Inorganic example: You can listen to a radio-which is constructed entirely of things which are not radio waves-but if there were radios and no radio waves, then the radios would not emit sound. Even the static heard when not tuned to a station is the result of radio waves (or other EM waves). Organic example: Though we have developed eyes over the eons, were there no light we would not see. Even eschewing metaphysics and considering only the hard sciences I don't see how it makes sense to presume human consciousness is purely emergent. Surely we are receiving something.

@@RubelliteFae but you have no basis to say that consciousness is a necessary precursor to consciousness. It is literally a circular argument. @RubelliteFae
@RubelliteFae 3 жыл бұрын
@@Chaxar There's no basis to say animals lack consciousness. Animals lack human consciousness in the same way that animals lack human eyes. Would you even recognize, say, frog consciousness if you saw it? No, because it's about the individual's awareness of others; anything we have to say about their subjective experience is irrelevant. To the same degree, you can't even be certain that I'm conscious. Why then would it be okay to presume other animals aren't? Why is it okay to presume it is entirely emergent rather than something which evolved to interact with something fundamental about the world, like the eye with light? Both are presumptions. Also, please don't confuse the issue by using the same term for human consciousness and whatever aspect of reality it might be a function of; it would be really hard to talk about sight if you called light sight.
@jordangraham-mclean1980
@jordangraham-mclean1980 3 жыл бұрын
RubelliteFae That’s not how evolution by natural selection works though. Early in the evolution of animals, a serpentine protein mutated and as a result it picks up a new kind of signal: light. It didn’t evolve as a response to the existence of light. The ability to detect light does not equal sight, primitive eyes wouldn’t have been image forming. Evolution is not goal directed. Species do not become “better” over time; they simply track their changing environment with adaptations that maximize their reproduction in a particular environment at a particular time. Nothing evolves to interact with anything, eyes didn’t evolve to produce sight. Light exists regardless of an organisms ability to detect it or form images out of it.

I find the concept of the human being being a receptacle for consciousness that is beamed in from elsewhere to be intriguing and something worthy of consideration. Right now I consider a human body to be a bio mechanical contraption to house spirit. The mind, will, emotions are the operating system for the machine and it’s the interface between spirit and body. I am a spirit. I have a soul (the mind, will and emotions). I inhabit a mud based earth suit.

*Step 1:* Realize there is no distance/matter/objects/etc., and reality only exists in your mind. E.g. light enters the eye, then gets interpreted by the brain. That goes for all senses. People still trapped in materialism don't even get to this point. Your entire reality is no different to a hallucination, through indoctrination you start actually believing that what you see is there.. That's just signals, data. If you could unplug your touch/visual/etc. sensory inputs and plug in a video game which connects with all your senses, what would be the difference between the game and your current reality? Nothing, literally, absolutely no difference whatsoever. This is the most important thing to understand as it's simple, and requires no study of anything due to being a logical conclusion with no other alternatives. Everyone can make the realization that their whole reality happens in the brain, they already know it, just need to realize it's not some "reality" they're seeing and are inside of, but a product of their own mind. Having worked this out, people can start thinking if there even IS some objective shared reality, and if there would ever be a need for one. If we want to have ANY understanding of reality at all, Occam's razor states that virtual reality is by far the best paradigm to start from, being more efficient by MANY orders of magnitude to any alternatives. Efficiency isn't just "nice to have", it's a necessity, and if one model achieves an identical goal to another while being more efficient, the other model has no value. Even if reality was anything other than virtual, it would still be virtual anyway, lol, anyone who believes it's physical hasn't realized we've been making additional VRs in the world ever since we started making computers. Efficiency will always find a way, and if we trick ourselves into thinking we live in a physical world, before long, VR naturally emerges even inside _that_ . People just like to cling to beliefs, if as a kid they believed what they saw was actually there, now they'll fight to prove it true, ignoring any evidence to the contrary. _That should be enough. I don't even need to get into how materialism naturally results in determinism and why they're both logically impossible explanations for reality._ *Step 2:* _Step 2 and beyond are post-rational, most people haven't even gotten to the rational stage yet, so don't worry if this makes zero sense:_ Realize that the whole "visual data entering the eyes and then the brain" thing is also completely wrong. Believing that would be like believing the reason you see anything in e.g. GTA 5 is because the light in the game gets processed by your character's brain, allowing for you to see. Or that the reason jumping into water makes your character wet is because water gets into your character's clothes.. You'd be pretty insane to believe that, yet, people, generally, believe this sort of logic when it comes to real life, and that's understandable. If you actually believed you were the character in a video game, you'd take everything that happens to you literally, if someone insulted your character, or stole from him, you'd think "*I* got insulted, *I* got robed". Since it takes a lot of work to leave this reality, and you've never consciously done it, you probably think it's real, and that you're actually the person you started being aware of for some unknown reason during early childhood. *Step 3:* Realize that there is no reality. Senses are data input, and you're just the recipient. A table is only a table if you interpret it as one, is a jar of cookies just one object? Do you include the cookies? The chocolate bits? The atoms? The table it's sitting on? Do you account for the air inside? Outside? Does the cookie jar exist? If so in what way? Where does one "object" begin and end? What's the difference between the cookie jar sitting, and standing? What's the difference between _you_ sitting, and standing? What's inbetween? How many inbetweens are there? Who decides? What if your legs could stand on their own so that you could sleep and relax fully on your legs? What if you'd cut off your legs, sat on a stool, then the stool would split in two, and you _could_ walk if you wanted, but you didn't change position, would you still be sitting? lol. *Step 4:* You realize that you're everyone, and everyone is you, and not just intellectually. You intimately know every "person" behind every person in the world, and see them as you, with no real distinction made between different people. Realize you're not human, there is no such thing, it's your own creation, you just forgot. What you, and everyone else is, is, by definition, god. At this stage you realize that you're nothingness, but also, by extension, everything. You realize that the existence of _anything_ can never be rational. If you were _anything_ , you couldn't be anything else. If you were a table, you couldn't be anything other than a table, if you were a shapeshifter, you couldn't be anything _but_ that one shapeshifter. You couldn't change your personality, you couldn't change your thoughts, you couldn't change your state of being in any way. You couldn't be anything, you could not be alive in any form. You could not be conscious. Consciousness could not be anything. Consciousness could only ever be........ Nothing. _(Keep in mind, this is a very long stage, in a limited purpose model I just made based on a bunch of others. This stage could be seen as a mere beginning, having grown to be an adult. Kind of like knowing how money works, but, instead of money, about consciousness. Beyond that, it's aiming for enlightenment, about which, models don't really exist yet, and won't for at least a few decades)_ You might be asking, "but then how am I experiencing anything right now if I'm nothing?" Ask yourself, who's the experiencer, who's the feeler, who's the one who wants to understand, who's the one asking who's asking? Who's the one who's experiencing the asking who's asking? Who's the one aware of this experience? Who's aware of that?... Yeah.. you have to really want it, and be relentless, it's not an easy/quick thing to accomplish. Is it worth it? if you could reach the top and look back, you'd wish someone had forced it upon you against your will, no matter how much pain it could've caused. You'd wish you had been born a slave or a torture victim just so you could realize your true nature sooner without the distractions of a comfortable life. No matter what anyone says, until you make it, noone will EVER make you realize its importance. You may get motivated for a week, month, year, a few years, but forget about it like any other hobby/interest. And you _will_ forget, _many_ times. All that matters is coming back to it every time, learning about about enlightenment/growing-up from dozens of sources, staying motivated, doing psychedelics, meditating, self-enquiry, and knowing it's worth everything. If you meditate on it, and unplug from your character's data inputs, all this becomes clear. 99.999999% of people die without even once being their real selves. (Hint: That's different to getting to know your humanity, or whatever you believe your "true-self" actually is. ) Oh nice, under the word limit this time : )

@thisin.
@thisin. 3 жыл бұрын
@@sandracamwell2415 The way life works is that by simply "doing life" you evolve, that's what it's here for. Once you realize this, it becomes obvious, it's the one constant in everyone's life. Why do people become more "mature", "loving" or aware of what's important in life, with age? Looking at human history, do you notice a trend? What were people like a hundred years ago? People were just coming around to the idea that, maybe, women should be allowed to vote in the UK. A few hundred years ago, monarchy and slavery seemed perfectly normal. A thousand years ago, Vikings plundering and killing indiscriminately regularly was just a common way of life. It's not because life was harder, that's just a consequence of the people. The people were "less evolved"; more self-centred; less open-minded. In the coming decades, we'll likely see the world becoming more democratic. It's easy to predict change when you understand consciousness evolution. Evolution is always happening, bit by bit, and at all levels. You will move beyond what you currently are sooner or later, the only thing uncertain is when. You can likely recall some time in your youth when you were more ego-centric or afraid of things, the fact that you're able to recognise such times as such, just shows you your own evolution. Whatever the difference is between then and now, lets say at your worst you were 1, and now you're 10, would you not want to, in 5 years time be at 50? Imagine, not once in your life, _ever_ getting angry/annoyed/upset/unsatisfied/unfulfilled, instead, ONLY ever feeling like every day is the best day of your life, every morning waking up with the most intense passion for life, and going to sleep so fulfilled, and eager to start the next day. Even the billionaires don't experience that (for reasons..). "to function in this world in society don't we all have to see the same sort of things" Not only do we not "have to", we never _can_ and never will. This is just a common belief people acquire from taking everything they experience literally. "I see x, so everyone sees x", when, actually, x doesn't exist in and of itself, it only exists as its perception. You seem to view this as a theoretical idea with no practical use, but, it's literally you, and it relates to everything in your existence. If you and someone else agree that brexit is a good/bad idea, you're not necessarily agreeing, as the idea may be too complicated to sum up with words. Usually, you wouldn't notice, as the scope of your ideas may be small enough so that it doesn't matter, e.g. agreeing it's bad for the economy. But one of you may think it's only bad for the short term economy. Even if you both wrote 10 000 word essays on your ideas on it, and agreed 100% with each other's essays, you still couldn't convey your exact feelings and thoughts on it. It's impossible. And politics is a man-made system so it's one of the easiest things to agree/disagree on. When it comes to understanding someone else's interpretation of a piece of art, or music, you may be able to agree with someone that it's sad, but going much deeper than that would be impossible. Thoughts and emotion are not specific things, they are learned by each individual independently, seeing a set of 1000 "sad" events in a specific order by a specific brain at a specific age will form a different feeling of what sad is to everyone else's sad.

According to Buddhist teachings, we are born in this realm because of, greed, hate and ignorance or one might also call it liking/clinging, disliking/rejecting and the ignoranc to what we truly are. The world we live in is build and run on this principles. If we would get access to the unifying field in a technological way, I'm not sure it would be used for the good of all humanity but rather in a greed manipulative purpose. Freedom to human kind is the greatest threat to the ones who like to rule over others and live of them. But I have no worries, technology will never reach there. Funniest (but tragic) event at the Hadron collider. During its construction a scientist stood in a section of it and said, “Finally, we can prove there is no God, no coincidences, no spirituality, just pure science” a few seconds later an as-yet unsecured part of the collider fell and collided with his head killing him instantly. So whether it’s science, faith, karma, mysticism, luck, whatever you like, one or all of them didn’t like him much.

It is ironic that the texts claim the 'gods' envy humans for our short lifespan makes enjoyment of life the sweetest, even-though we are at a lower plane of existence. But if you are talking about a unified consciousness, there should be examples of this consciousness. It should not be hidden, and it should not be a "God of the Gaps" fallacy. It is illogical to say, I don't know what comes before the quantum, therefore god must be there.

There is no other way to God, to salvation, except through Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9-13: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." True, and a simple life is not easy. I lived without power or running water, wood heat, candles, gathered and chopped the wood myself, no plumbing, carried water from a distant well when I needed it, walked through a swamp and up a crazy steep hill to reach a tiny, open outhouse which was intense to manage in the winter during storms. I couldn't really hack it. It was so much effing work...I mean it was like running a marathon every day. Chopping wood and carrying water and gardening and up the hill to the outhouse and if I wanted a bath it was so much trucking of water then time heating it with the stove, I mean it wasn't worth it. Well it was worth it; I had the best sleeps ever. Yet with such a stark life, face to face with the elements in such a raw way...it can be a lot. I see why people create lives for themselves with hot running water, plumbing systems, vehicles, jobs. Ultimately everyone needs to find their own sweet spot in life and get along with others. Easier said than done. Keep the beat. 💓

Perhaps this is one of the reasons he came here. To raise collective awareness as to the intertwining hard materialist sciences and more spiritually inspired theoretical doctrines. If we knew more of what, why and how perhaps we would be less inclined to self destruct. I think Quantum physicists are delving into the consciousness component more and more, and in doing so are deconstructing the material, macro illusion, perhaps unwittingly throwing the light switch on but not yet seeing beyond the switch itself. These are exciting times and we need people like Russell to carry the message to the masses.

To take a branch to make a bow, you must ask the tree to give you the branch. To take stones to carve a set of runes you must ask the stones to carve into them.

For what it’s worth, I have gotten a few channeled downloads on this subject. This is not my wheelhouse but I do get very clear insights now and again. The messages were: 1. E=MC squared works in the quantum Feild if you replace C (being the speed of light) with the speed of consciousness (which is much faster than the speed of light; and in its original form is omnipresent and therefore instantaneous). This is a way to understand that we have access to unlimited energy just based out our conscious vibration. 2. Black holes are not what we think they are. They are misaligned energy realigning to the speed of consciousness which is faster than the speed of light and therefore appears to disappear to the human eye. 3. Consciousness is in the neutron of every atom and the atomic structure is changed by mirroring what conscious energy within the neutron is expressing. I had to look up basic chemistry after this download and when I read that neutrinos and anti-neutrinos just disappear when they go into radioactive decay and scientists don’t know what happens to them my guides said that is them reverting back to pure non physical conscious energy. Hope this channeled message finds its way to somewhere helpful. 😁 cheers

Thank you Russel - Another of your interesting & intelligent chats - That latter pertaining to what I’d like to offer here - In all the talk about consciousness, which to me is essentially little more than degrees of awareness there is scant, if any mention of intelligence - It is now broadly accepted that this Universe is entirely composed of different vibrational frequencies of Energy down to the source level of the Quantum Unified Potential Field - However from a personal perspective this foundational foam like level must surely include, in the broadest possible terms, Intelligence - Rather than ‘consciousnesses’ I think a more appropriate term would be Universal Mind being the source of everything & we as biologically humans being ‘mini minds’ ie Intelligent energy fields, 7 in number based on the chakra system- Thus we are mini minds ( psyche ) having the experience of existing in Form & Matter - The secular/ scientific version of the metaphysical body/soul model

You can see how it might become difficult for certain mindsets to breath when they are asked to give agency/sentience it's proper due meaning they know the ramifications or would have to fully think about them if they gave the general public as much respect as they give themselves(I am generalizing but relatively this is the case no matter what people say it's reality as it is what their lives represent). What is that quote "it's not how the world was when you left it's what your life was while you were here". Meaning don't get ahead of yourself playing god acting like your going to say you did this for that because you just knew blah blah because then you'll live to regret it.

There is a difference between awareness and consciousness. 'Awareness of awareness' does not qualify as 'self awareness' or self-realization. The Self, Atma, is beyond the science of things.
