China has already achieved over 86% of its industrial goals set in the "Made In China 2025" Plan (a highly ambitious industrial upgrade plan made by the Chinese government in 2015, which directly triggered the trade war, tech war and info war from the USA since 2018) as of April, 2024, according to the reports of Hong Kong's South China Morning Post and Singapore's Channel News Asia a few months ago. I'm confident China can successfully achieve all or overwhelming majority of the industrial goals in the grand plan by the end of 2025. Bravo!

What goes on in these factories is a small fraction of it takes to actually make a product. For example: The engineering firm that designs the product. The machining factory that builds this company. The steel factory before this, and there’s the mining company for the iron ore before the steel factory. The list goes on and on, especially for more complex products.

I totally agree with you. I'm old enough to remember when people used to mock products made in Japan, that was the late 60s, 70s, everything from cars to bicycle parts to knives. Yes knives. (Solingen and Sheffield had reputation but Sekei was some Japanese town no one had heard of) Nobody laughed after a while. I understand manufacturing and engineering. Chinese products in many categories represent extraordinary value in price/performance and a boon for people in general.

20:07 I discovered a type of wine I often drink, and every time I finish it, I throw away the clay jar it comes in. I never realized how many processes and how much effort it takes to make one of these jars. I plan to stop drinking wine packaged in ceramics in the future; glass bottles will save a lot of labor.

同じことを日本でもしています。しかし手造り鍛造の刃物とは全く違います。私は職人が一本一本手造りで仕上げていく鍛造ナイフを造っていくのを見ている研師です。ステンレスナイフも随分良くなりました。しかしステンレスナイフも鍛造という工程があるとないのとでは全く違います。研いで切ってみれば判ります。また刃物は研師の腕によって全く違ったモノになります。外国人がわざわざ日本に来て日本製の包丁を買っていくのか理解できる筈です。プロ相手の刃物屋がこうしたモノを扱わないのかわかる筈です。どうかよい鍛冶屋になってください。
