Thank you so very much for getting so lovingly involved and to aid them in keeping their home clearn as well as TEACHING!!! I saw also the video of that couple making fuel from plastics!!!! Wonderful to return to the basics, use everything to the smallest common denominator!!! In most cases the islanders were never educated to see plastics in the ways you have taught them and now they will view this in an entirely different way It is to note that loads of trash comes from the mainland and also from the MASSIVE CRUISE SHIPS, many of which have been fined millions and never once did any government do what you have done! I also need you to know that Containerships and CruiseshipsTHE REEFS not merely global warming, I do not use sunscreens, Yet of the amount of people that now use such chemicals I am so happy you have pointed out that also! I use my head and that I was an islander once apon a time, we covered up, we did not go into the hottest hours of the day and we never used chemicals!

Wow thank you for this amazing comment 😍 I hope from the bottom of my heart that what we did will have a long term impact on those kids.. I know that many of them weren't as receptive as I would have liked to but many others were! And yes, it is impossible to control everything and I know a lot of the trash comes from mainland but if only people could stop throwing things on the floor and use a trashcan, it'd be a good start.. You once were an islander!😍 Where did you live?? Tell me more :)

Also a few years ago I researched the containers hip industry and in fifty years that industry grew 1700%. As well the ships grew from carrying 1400 containers to 4000 a ship. These ships have 4 to 6 engines and mega generators to all burn diesel. At 14 knots they burn 22.000 tons of fuel. This can be applied to the tourist industry also

@@TheGipsyJourney Gulf Shores Ala! believe it or not it is not connected to the mainland. Also we had tee shirts proclaiming "I am an Islander" We teens would clean beaches in winter. As in summer there were paid persons for the cleaning of beaches and parks. In winter we noticed there were few if any cleaners on the beaches and as we formed teams and would meet on weekends and beach comb for all sorts! Perhaps the Islander tee shirt idea would also be a reminder to those children. Like "I AM AN ISLANDER AND I CARE FOR OUR ENVIRONMENT" i think that could be a breat idea! We always worn our tee's when out working and everyone noticed!
