I have been doing extra cleaning aside from my “usual” cleaning routine. Before isolating we used to get takeout usually once a week. I am not comfortable with ordering takeout now, so I am putting more thought into our dinners and becoming a bit more creative. The backyard is really coming along nicely, Peter! Continued prayers for relief from headaches, Mary. Hugs to Ollie & Harry! 🤗❤️❤️🙏🏼😘🐕🐱

With that much yard I’m surprised you haven’t put in a vegetable garden. The pizza looked great. I was ready to grab a bite! I’m still trying to find out if you can make bread in an Instant Pot without the yogurt setting. I’m afraid I’m not very creative. My husband has spent his whole life as a cook. Twenty years in the Army running a Mess Hall and then after discharge several restaurants. So I don’t really do any cooking!!

A great way to defrost frozen proteins (chicken/fish/beef/shrimp) rather quickly. Place the protein in question in a large enough bowl to hold all the meat in question. If it's in bags, discard those, and place the meat in the bowl directly. Run cold water over the meat, and cover completely. Don't add anything else to the water. Allow the bowl to sit in a sink or on counter/fridge uncovered until defrosted. Times vary depending on amount of meat/proteins your using. Rookie Mistake: Don't use Hot/warm water in this application, as it'll slowly cook the meats over time. Cold water is a must! Once the meat is defrosted, wiped off to dry with paper towels completely. Then use accordingly.

Wow... Have fun! Yes.... We used to be Chicken Scratch Ranch when we lived in AZ. Now we're in TN and whisper dogs. Anyway, the coating on the eggs is called the "bloom." And we are the only country that refrigerates them. Condensation actually compromises the bloom, risking the allowance of bacteria to form by making the shell permeable. So if already refrigerated, leave them that way until you use them. It's too late to leave them out. But if not yet refrigerated, leave them out, unwashed, on the counter at room temperature. They should be safe from spoiling for a good long time... at least a month. Oh... and always crack each egg into a seperate small bowl before combining it with other eggs or ingredients. It is possible for farm eggs to be fertilized (if they allow hens to dwell with roosters) and/or sit in the heat too long. You'll know if it's compromised if it's too watery, the yolk is liquified, or it smells bad. Fertilized eggs are OK to eat. If the farm has no roosters, no problem. But if the farm does, and any of the hens are broody (try to sit on the eggs and hatch them), all the more reason to check each one in a seperate bowl before eating. P. S. DON'T LEAVE GROCERY STORE EGGS OUT. THEY'VE BEEN WASHED MULTIPLE TIMES.
@invisibleinkling14744 жыл бұрын
And don't refrigerate unwashed eggs. Bacteria city!
