You make this look so easy. And I have picked up some handy tips. We had to iron our underwear and socks in Zambia, in order to kill any Putzi Fly eggs that may have been laid on them whilst on the washing line. My first attempt at ironing at the age of 7, I put the iron directly onto nylon 😂

Yes, I use a steamer, but I'm not so sure it does the least damage. Be very careful how you hold a steamer. I got an awful burn from mine recently.

I’m sure you’re aware that one can purchase a ironing cloth. The advantage of it over a tea-towel is that it is a netted cloth, so you can see through it and where the iron is reaching. It is very useful though and I’ve used it to iron silk, wool and many delicate, embroidered garments.
