“Jake took him (Spider) in, but Neytiri always saw him as one of the people who destroyed her home and killed her father,” Jon Landau tells Empire. That's definitely from Avatar 3 (2025). It does help to look back at Avatar's old articles and interviews because it can reveal what to expect in Avatar 3 (2025). Now, that statement makes sense after the end of the second movie. ( a son, for a son.) Jake lost Neteyam but found Spider.

Because of the interrogation scene and Spider still hates him.

While their relationship is hardly shown, he does seem to care about her a great deal and seems to enjoy having her around. He visibly felt bad about almost accidentally killing her and Kiri when he and Lo'ak nearly caused a Samson to fall. He also mentions Tuk among the ones he consider to be "his family", alongside Lo'ak and Kiri. For her part, Tuk also seems to appreciate Spider. When Jake, Neytiri and the boys return to High Camp Tuk informs Kiri and Spider, showing that she is including him in the active life of her family and the clan. And when Neytiri threatens him with her knife, Tuk can be heard saying "Don't kill him" at the same time as Kiri.

Spider seems to have a good relationship with Lo'ak as they played together a lot when they were children. They are seen together many times along the film; they seem to have a pretty good relationship as teenagers, with both usually making jokes or commenting about their surroundings, for example, when Kiri, Tuk, Spider and Lo'ak were spying on the Recoms in the 'old shack', with Spider telling Lo'ak that the place was in fact, where Quaritch and Jake fought years ago. Lo'ak is the one that insisted on saving Spider during the conflict and risked his and Neteyam's lives trying to save Spider, which leads to Neteyam's untimely death.

Spider and Kiri have been best friends since they were children. Due they played together and felt like orphans, she compares him to being like "the brother she never had," despite having two already. Both seem to like spending time together, for example, when she helps him apply blue paint to his skin. They enjoy having common activities and constantly try to protect each other. She gave him the nickname of "Monkey Boy," using it particularly in the moments when they both joke around. Kiri makes several attempts to include Spider as part of the family, but this just ends up irritating Neytiri. It was during the events of Avatar: The High Ground that it was shown how strong their bond is, as they both risked their lives for each other on multiple occasions. When Spider was abducted by SecOps, Kiri was extremely distressed and clearly worried for his safety, even crying desperately after this. When he managed to return with the Sullies after the battle, Kiri was visibly surprised and pleased to see him safe and sound, placing her hand on his chest as they exchanged glances and smiled. They were last seen together holding hands during Neteyam's funeral.
