This afternoon Session was absolutely incredible. Dobey and Wright played phenomenal over the whole game, but Wright showed his experience and does it. Then this incredible Comeback from Danny Noppert completely out of nowwhere. After this a James Wade masterclass against a good but not unbeatable Humphries. And yeah the last match showed, which player is the biggest Talent in Darts at the moment and his name is Gian van Veen. This is a very open draw for me for the semifinals

Indeed! That is the reason why i just waited patiently to see what happened. I think after that rather pathetic outburst at the end of the match against Razma when it was clear to see the poor lad was pretty gutted he lost. Nowt wrong at all with a wee bit of compassion in this world,he knew he'd won and totally entitled to celebrate!!But what ever that was when the game was done was embarrasing.Well done to that lad indeed!

It's how he is. Like a veteran gunslinger in an old Western movie having to contend with young upstarts trying to beat him to the draw. I think it is good for Gian that MVG didn't patronise him like a master patting an upstart on his back. Klar it was big win for Gian, but MVG's reaction should hopefully help Gian realise that the emotion of taking a big scalp (if MVG had one) has to be put into perspective by following it up in the next round.

The great Phil Taylor was 58 when he retired from darts and he had already blazed his path of glory by that point. MVG needs to learn that while he may be one of the best, he's going to take some sore losses along the way and has to learn how to deal with them. Just like Phil did.

Brilliant brilliant set of quarter finals. I have just about recovered from what I saw in the first 2. The comeback from Dobey was brilliant and after seeing Peter Wright on scintillating form hitting a 161 and a 164 back to back I thought he’s back to his brilliant best and he’s gonna win this but I didn’t ever see that comeback coming and luckily for Peter Wright he managed to compose himself after going 8-7 down and managed to win it. The second semi left me absolutely speechless. At 7-0 Price was looking so good and i was already thinking of a Price Wright semi final but what happened next literally blew my mind away. What a fabulous stunning comeback from Danny Noppert. He always struggles against Gezzy and after missing doubles in some legs and being down by 7 legs, it would be understandable if he dropped his head a bit and just bowed out by winning a couple legs to make it look respectable but my word he battled back all the way and even when he won 3 in a row before the break, it still looked like Price would win especially after wiring D12 for a 9 darter in the 11th leg. Then from that point, it was a repeat of Ross Smith against Peter Wright last year, where Smith came back from 8-3 down to win 10-8. These players like Dobey and Noppert who hardly show any emotion and just get on with the game are so dangerous coz it doesn’t matter what the score is they just keep playing until it’s over, mentally the scoreline doesn’t affect them as much as it does to most players. Price must be so gutted after that but he showed great sportsmanship at the end there after just a heartbreaking loss and duly congratulated Danny. In the next 2 quarters I didn’t think there would be any crazy comebacks like the first two quarters and there were magnificent performances from Wade and especially the youngster who I rate very highly, Gian Van Veen. They both took control fairly early on and just held on to their leads against Humphries and MVG respectively, who most people would have thought would be the second semi final later on. But this is why we love the darts and from what we would expect to be the semis, we have almost the opposite lineup. Only Peter Wright came through from the players most people thought would be in the semis but in reality I’m never sure coz the quality of the PDC now is staggering. Bring on the semi finals now and I have absolutely no clue whose gonna win so I can’t wait for this.
