Very nice video! My only comment is that I usually prefer to cut a 6/4 slab out from the center when splitting the log. 3/4 above and below the pith. If you want to covert that board into quarter saw , then turn it on edge and again cut out the center as a small block. Good to see you measured to the center of the log.
