This unit is my very first detector ever. Having just received my Triple Score and reviewing the user manual, I thank god I had the foresight to research videos beforehand and came across yours. For a total newbie the manual might as well have written in Arabic. Your tutorial however is brilliant!! I thoroughly can grasp the menu items as you explain them so clearly. I want to amplify the comments before me. I have an old detector and haven't used it (except to locate dropped construction screws in my back pasture) for years. Was considering getting back into detecting but not looking forward to the annoying learning curve. I'd guess this video just eliminated about 70-80% of that curve. Thank you SO MUCH for this video! I just ordered my Triple Score and am hunting for videos on how to use it. Your video is by far the most thorough, easy to follow and well-filmed for the Triple Score. Other videos try to tell you how to navigate the menus, but are outside and you cannot see a thing on the display. Great tutorial of the triple score Jason. After seeing this, and remembering the time it took to learn my Legend. I'm really not seeing much difference in the two of them. I have a Score 3 on the way and I have a Score 2 also. It will be interesting to see the comparisons. The menu and settings look similar. Few more extra options but I am told is pretty much a slimmed down version of the Legend which should be good enough for me. Your tutorials are very easy to understand! Kudos!

Thanks. This tutorial was just what I needed. My very old white died about 20 years ago and I've not been detecting since. I've still got the urge but didn't think I could afford a new one. Now that I'm retired and don't have the expense of driving, 40 miles everyday, buying lunch etc etc., I'm going to do it. Thanks again. Excellent tutorial. I need to take some notes on which icons do what. I have a Legend but struggled with the menu/sub menu for some reason. I also got mine before carbon fiber rod, the newer stock coil, newer elliptical coil. It would have cost me more for those 3 parts than the whole new machine, lol. I love the lighted keypad and white accents too, thanks

Good video, very detailed. It is better than the videos put out by most of the makers. I am sure it will help a lot of people interested in this detector. I personally don't care much for Nokta. I guess that I just got too spoiled with my AT Max, Deus 2, and Manticore. If I ever need to purchase a 4th machine, I hope to find videos as detailed as this one. Great video.

Yes you can submerge the entire detector underwater to 5 meters. The speaker is designed for this. However, headphones may be needed if you are underwater with the detector in order to hear it better. And obviously, you'll want headphones if the detector is underwater but you are above water. But the detector also has a vibrating handle so depending on your needs, headphones may not be required. It really depends on the user. ***The manual states that once the detector comes out of the water, the external speaker may seem muffled at first but that's just because there is water next to the speaker itself which is normal. To get the water out, lightly shake the detector so the water can escape through the holes on the speaker cover.

An update is available on the Nokta site which has solved this problem and a couple others. Nokta is doing a great job listening to customers and tweaking the programs.

Yes you can use the noise cancellation feature which will give slight frequency changes to avoid other electromagnetic signals on the same frequency band.

How the heck do I get my speaker to make noise again? I have the headset paired and no matter what settings I have put on, the rear speaker is silent. I am running software 1.2.

Try turning Bluetooth off on the machine and check the volume level

@conmullen5856 oh I have. Doesn't change anything. Volume at 6 and it's dead silent with Bluetooth off. I even factory reset it and it didn't fix it. I think software 1.2 has some bugs

I am seriously thinking of gettting one of them as my 1st machine, but wonder if I really need the additional features, Headphones & Coil being a newbie to the hobbie? I'm also wondering if I will get confused with all the additional settings of the Triple Score? Seven hundred bucks is already getting to be a bit much money for a new hobbie that I "think" I'll like, but I also am of the mineset that it'd be nice to have the option so I can progress with the more expensive Triple Score should the hobbie become something I treasure (pardon the punn lol).

V’s, Buffs, and Jeffersons all hit right around 26 and at quite deep depths too too. Shields come in a tick lower, around 25 typically but still very strong signals from their density.

You can buy the Legend for just $40 more, granted it does not come with headphones and extra coil but its a superior machine. With more frequencies and options.

Not coming with a set of LL headphones and a second coil negates your “The Legend is only $40 more than the Triple Score” comment, no? Not exactly comparing apples to apples. Firstly, the Legend alone is $100 more than the Triple Score Pro Pack, not $40. Secondly, the Triple Score alone is better described as being maybe $40 more than a Double Score alone, which means the Triple Score, detector only, is roughly $200 less than the Legend. That’s a LOT of machine and accessories for your money, IMO.

You can get little pump up tanks to use while underwater. Usually get about 10 minutes.
