@@CAMIKAZE78 Funny enough, the origin of the word carbine comes from the French word carabinier/carabine. Thus linguistically "car-bean" is closest to the original European pronunciation. I guess this is one of the instances where the American actually does it with more authenticity. I believe even Forgotten Weapons did a funny sketch about it.

I see we are all talking about the Gauss SAW. I think it's a fantastic weapon as long as you can tame the beast's recoil. Because of that, I personally wouldn't use anything other than the 1× sight or 2× if it's really necessary.

Lol I use to have a 6x on it back before that caused sway in my long range loadout and used it like a battle rifle. I love the gun but honestly, I feel like the S variant would make a better starter weapon.

I'd really like to see a NC weapon where every 10 shots or so it would automatically fire a weaker under barrel shotgun. It would make the recoil very "bursty" or jumpy each time the shotgun goes off, making it interesting to control and requiring careful fire discipline., but would make for an interesting breaching gun at the expense of some long rage capacity. It would also feel very in theme for the NC. "Freedom bullets are the biggest bullets!"

As someone who has the Godsaw (My absolute favorite LMG) I gotta say the GD-22 was my least favorite to Auraxium. Something about its recoil made it harder for me to hit at range than even the Anchor (which I consider a direct upgrade to it). The EM6 was a headshot monster and the Promise kept its word in being so easy to use it felt like I was using a VS weapon.

I’m a returning player after a few years (yikes about 3ish) I spent a good while in the VR training just trying out the guns for myself and have to say the promise is the most comfortable LMG for me, everything’s got a lot of kick even with the attachments to offset hip fire or ADS feel so futile at times

I personally loved the fact it was starter weapon because once usingnit to farm enough certs to get anchor i was so accustomed to higher recoil the anchor felt like a sniper rifle

The Gause Saw is the best LMG for the NC if you can master the recoil, which in my opinion, isn't as bad as people say it is with a fore grip.

Is basically a larger mag ACX11 which is my favorite carbine aside from the compact S for its nade launcher. Scored a few kills against esfs and at point blank its a slug shotty that 1 taps to the head. Great for destroying sundies and lightings that get cocky.

The EM6 with 200 rnd mags and a silencer is the way to go in organised squad-play. That beast can easily wreck an entire squad in one drum if you get the sweet positioning.

when I first started years ago, I chose NC 'cause I liked the blocky look (I was a huge fan of the ARM of Total Annihilation, and UEF of Supreme Commander for the same reason.) However, the Gauss Saw was a huge turn off due to its recoil. Years later, it's probably my favourite weapon in the entire game that I have access to. Wish I could just...round it off and steal it past my TR Quartermaster...

If I were to add another LMG I'd make something with like a 50 round magazine and 334 damage like the new battle rifles. Utter garbage in close quarters but basically a sniper rifle with a drum mag and full auto on it, like the new MG338 machine gun that's up to replace the M240. The thing fires .338 Norma magnum, similar to .338 Lapua magnum, and has like double the effective range of the 240.

@@slypask9185 I've honestly never had trouble controlling the SAW's recoil even with a 4x. 6x is where it gets tricky, but 4x is the only optic I use and will ever use on it.

@@austinkamp8048 Also, the Gauss SAW is .50 cal or larger. It does more damage than the Kobalt .50 cal at longer range but has slower muzzle velocity than the Kobaly, therefore is a higher caliber.

My picks for new NV heavy assaults are these: 1, GR-22S 2, EM1 / EM6 3, The SAW if you have a grip, compensator and 1X reflex sight. You are gonna thank me later.

Both options are very solid, the GD-22 is a great option for quick in and out gameplay if you can score headshots, whereas the Promise has great lane control properties.

Austin Kamp I need an lmg better at sustained fire at longer range (the promise) or a less bulky/sluggish feeling lmg (GD-22) I have also tested the EM-1 and it feels like a good weapon.

@@spingebill8551 the EM1 feels a little more forgiving than other lmg's when it comes to recoil. If you can nail headshots, that's the lmg for you. It's easy to line up a headshot even while the trigger is being held down; however, it's not very popular with other players so maybe give it a trial against real opponents b4 purchasing it with your hard earned certs, especially because you will feel it's lack of damage output at medium to long range.

The Promise and EM6 are really my go-to LMGs for my NC Heavy, and I think you covered them really well here. And on the Gauss SAW, even though I've been playing this game for ages, I still despise it as a default gun for newbies. Like honestly, NC scrubs are at a disadvantage in LMG fights when compared to the other two starting LMGs. Its a real special gun tho, and I've definitely made it work, but the Promise just feels R I G H T to me.

@@glockenspiel604 I agree! NC Snipers do have an advantage at the begining. But when it comes to brand new players who aren't the best shots, a Sniper doesn't help as much as a bullet hose. Also this video is on the LMGs, so I dunno why you think Infils are even relevant to this comment.

The best LMG in the NC arsenal for newer players (as of now) would probably have to be the GD-22S. I'm not sure why this isn't the starter weapon, but it seems to have characteristics that would help newer players.

I would add a new wepon to the roster like the em1 but this on has a 155 dmg model and has a slightly slower fire rate like a middle ground between the em1 and em6 good for point hold and breaching and has a many attachment options kinda like naginata but higher recoil but a tad faster and same damage model

The way to do this is reach the ASP system, which will then allow you to take a perk that gives you LMG access on the Engineer class, hope this helps mate :)

The Shrike is just like every other faction's default rocket launcher and there's nothing wrong with them. As for a better default LMG I'd argue the EM1 or EM6 should be it, since they're more akin to the other two faction's starting LMGs and have more role diversity than the Anchor which is meant to be a CQC LMG.

Ah yes we love our fire power The saw is absolutely brutal why the hell do we give this to new recruits seriously Johnson did you approve this mess for fuck sakes and the S variant is more forgiving but still brutal, Brutal also being the result of what ever happens to be your target The Em6 is a versatile jack of all trades with a faster rate of fire and mag then the S variant of the Saw and a good device to hold down a point The EM1 is perfect for those who Realized the Error of the TR or that The VS are full of shit Being Fast Firing Low recoil, AND ONE HELL OF AN UPTIME plus It’s Easy To handle as well The anchor and Gd are more or less heavy assault rifles and the GD2S is perfect for rookies and the anchor is for those who want a bit of firepower but at a slow reload seriously 50 boys The promise is the newest and unique option that has negative recoil and perfect for lots of suppressing fire

Hes playing with about 100 ping. Because there isnt any server to play on with a better ping. The AU Server is 100% dead and gone. Destroyed by its own 98% TR playerbase.

The gauss saw is a pile of garbage it has the same TTK as the ACX11 but way more recoil awful hipfire and ingeneral is just worthless imo I hate how worthless it is

Gauss saw has vastly improved accuracy, damage dropoff, magazine size, and round speed. The hipfire is worse and while the recoil is high, it's consistent. It outclasses the carbine in any long range or extended fight and is less effective in short distance skirmishes, it is as it should be.
