I have a question. I am purchasing a new home. The installer of the countertop cut the quartz countertop literally in half and glued it back together for whatever reason. Is this normal? The seam where the two areas were glued together can be clearly seen. The steps that the installer took is like cutting a ceramic plate in half and gluing it. The line never disappears and cannot buff out.

Why is backsplash 1 1/4”? Cant’t you make 3/4” like it is supposed to be? I know other fabricators who take that extra step and do it.

I have a very simple question, I. have korean worktop and after 6 years looks like i used sand paper to clean it, very soft material, it marked very easy which. Which will mark more easy, Granite or Quartz using a soft cloth and been careful. The korean top seemed like every time I put my car keys or come home with shopping it scratched easy I want white light colour work top, which one will wear the best show no scratch. marks?
@megamarble32254 жыл бұрын
Quartz Scratches Easier Than Granite The same resin that makes quartz susceptible to damage from heat also makes it more likely to scratch. While it’s not easily scratched under normal use, it’s definitely more likely than granite to see scratches from dropped pans or slipping knives. Granite stone is a hard stone that can handle cutting vegetables and throwing the keys, but do not forget also depends on which granite you choose

That much unsupported cantilever, even though allowed by the manufacturer, will sag over time and when it does, the outboard ends of the miters must self-destruct.
@philipsainsbury35253 жыл бұрын
What u talking about the mitre holds the joint , the load bearing is mostly over the carcasses over 50% of the split load , the cantilever is self supported
