Quartz Mountain State Park and Lodge Oklahoma

The Quartz Mountain State Park and Lodge is a newly renovated lodge with the lakeshore on one side and quartz mountains on the other. Most every room has a view. You can fish, hike, or just relax with family and friends. The nearby town of Hobart has a museum dedicated to General Tommy Franks.

I spent my honeymoon there in 1978, the mountains look exactly the same. East from there, Great Plains State Park, East from there, Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. Magical region in South West Oklahoma.

Yes it is a great part of the state. A bucket list visit.

Went there on a field trip, stayed for a weekend. Guys had to stay in a nearby cabin, and the girls got to stay in the resort rooms!
