Very good informative video. Always better to listen to someone speaking it. Especially for those of us who hate to read🤣. Well done👍🏻. Maybe there needs to be a quiz when applying for the permit. Thanks again. Be safe out there ✌🏻🇺🇸

Interesting ! If you take a shower in a van,, and it drains to the outside- Not Allowed ! But you can step outside the van and take a shower and the water hits the ground and that's OK ! One of those things that make you scratch your head ! Thanks for your time Tom ! It was interesting to listen to the rules.

@@roadwarrior4209 I’ve seen a few that park for an extended time in the other blm areas and not move. I thought about doing that and going to town to fill up and empty out when needed.

On virtually all BLM land, the stay limit is always 14 days. You are required to break camp and move do a new location some distance away. Otherwise you're literally squatting on public land. Not judging, just saying, it's against the rules and starting to become a real problem. In truth, it's the reason they established the ltva's, environmental damage.

Unfortunately people violate the rule that states dogs must be on a leash. I've seen a lot of loose dogs in the LTVA areas. I thought you could throw out dishwater, for those of us who don't have tanks. Thanks for explanation of the rules. Hope you and Zen have a good day.

The 25 mile rule is listed as a straight line on a map. My dad found out the hard way. 42 miles away by road did not put him 25 miles away in a straight line. Got a ticket.

I think the way the rule is written is that ANY aircraft, including hot air balloons, ultralights, Etc. That includes drones, they are aircraft. The way they have written the rules, it is easy to misread. It even happened to you. Interestingly, it only prohibits landing and taking off. My guess is the rule was written long before personal drones are what they are today. People just take advantage of the fact that it's almost impossible to act on, and that their use is so commonplace today.
@a_bus_and_a_pyr7 күн бұрын
@@reubenj.cogburn8546 true, i don’t have a drone and didn’t think of them as aircraft. And yes the rules need to be upgraded for sure.

@@Michelle-xb4ij unless you are camping for an extended time, visitors come and go all the time. It’s still blm land and I see many campers come in for a night or 2 with no permit. I did see a sign on the booth today that said visitors need a permit also.

For the life of me I'll never understand the Quartzite draw. Wherever there's gatherings of more than 1 person, there's going to be drama . More people = More drama. Does anyone realize there's over 245 Million acres of BLM land in the continental United States ? That's not counting all the local, state & Federal parks and countless other places you can camp to avoid people !
