I went to this Sunset Sheds visitor center last Wednesday December 4th and met Kurt and the secretary. I’ve been at the Quartzsite High Jolly BLM in my truck camper since then. I’m from Montreal Quebec and left Quebec Canada on November 17th. I’ll swirl around south Arizona soon. Yuma and other places. I travelled through the middle US from New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Missouri, Colorado and Utah before heading south to here. I’m finally living my first retirement nomad boon docking dream and will spend the entire winter in the warm south. I’m going to the RTR mid January. I’ll go back to Quebec Canada in mid April when the nice weather will finally be there. Getting away from snowy winter. It’ll be great to meet you Russ.

Wow, I haven't seen those guys in quite a while. Congratulations to them on their new venture. I remember back when he was helping you cut that window in the door of your van,and even installing the diesel heater :-) I pay, especially close attention to mechanical stuff.

Hello Russ! Congrats to Curt and Kendra glad to see they are prospering in Quartzsite. Couldn't be better people to have the Visitor Center and Chamber of Commerce offices at there location. I flew my kite that I bought from My Wind Stuff up in Williams last month, always fun to do. Can't wait to head over to Quartzsite, Parker and Lake Havasu City. My favorite stop in Quartzsite is Beer Belly's Adult Daycare Center at Tyson Wells. Good food live music and cold beer! Russ, it's time to get the Dusty Nugget out and about!

Quartzsite can be very interesting. In 2010 when we were here we had a car - didn't see the town. Last winter I toured the town on my ebike. People have some real interesting yard art and decorations. In the spring the cacti, shrubs etc were good to see - something you miss in a car. Looking forward to this winter to explore more.

Glad to see you're back in Quartzsite. It sure has changed from when my wife and I were there last about 4 or 5 years ago in Jan. She loved it there and wants to go back. Went to the RV tents and then went out exploring the back roads in our SxS. The video you did on going from Clear Lake to Benbow, you went right by our place, we live on the south side of Clear Lake in Kelseyville. If you ever come back this way, let me know and I can show you around some of the area.

As for temps, it's hard to believe but as I post this, we're actually a couple degrees warmer on the west coast than Quartzsite. Weird but it happens. Rain supposedly coming next week though. You showed us everything but the new DG Market grocery store. I'm so glad they got one because I refuse to go back into either one of the other old grocery stores that feel like dark, dirty caves with their overpriced food! Finally there is a modern, affordable grocery store in town.
